Interesting 8-dish menu with the exception of the turkey spring rolls, presumably an attempt at an Xmas twist, but a failure. Wine recommendation was excellent. Tables too small for the amount of food they serve at once, should have thought that through! Another annoyance was charging us for two bottles of water after replacing one which wasn't empty with a full one we didn't ask for.

Super service and clean flavours. Each dish was unique enough to make it very memorable. I have had better cheeseburger spring rolls but everything was enjoyable

A top quality Modern Australian Asian Fusion food. My top pick is their pork belly! Crispy and delicious through and through. Their biggest let down was their chicken curry which was no different than a street side food store. But hey, still good!

Burma lane is a fantastic modern Melbourne restaurant with food inspiration from around the world. Located in an iconic Melbourne laneway it really is a hidden gem. Food was delicious, priced mid-high end. The five spice pork belly is a real standout. The cocktails are fantastic, we made our way though majority of the list with each being better than the last. Well worth a visit.

Insta: melbfoodie_mark YT: MelbFoodieMark ** Check them out for more food reviews in Melbourne! - Got 50% off on 8-Course Set Menu through theFork! Didn't get a chance to visit its well-known sister-restaurant Red Spice Road yet but no doubt it's just as good if not better. The ambience was impeccable especially with this beautiful painting on the wall and service was friendly and prompt. All the dishes were tasty - full of flavour but not overpowering to the point where ingredients lose their tastes. Shan Tofu, Lamb Shank Curry, and Caramelised Pork Belly stood out out of all. Pork Belly was crispy outside but succulent inside and lamb shank was so soft that it fell apart as I dug my fork into it. Went wonderfully well with rice! My personal favourite was surprisingly Shan Tofu - never knew tofu could taste like that. It had this distinctive herby starchy flavour which was very addicting. Only thing I didn't like about the set menu was Chai Panna Cotta - not that it tasted bad but just not a fan of its pudding-like texture. Overall, with 50% off deal- definitely worth it!

The food was average here. I was really looking forward to the pork belly, but it was a bit tough. I would say the eggplant salad was my favourite. Food was surprisingly filling.

Burma Lane is offering bottomless brunch every Saturday from 12pm-2pm, and of course I had to try it. Unlimited boozy refreshments? I’m in! Choose from mimosa, prosecco, red or white wine, or go all the way with the luxury package that includes Louis Roederer champagne. As part of the bottomless brunch menu, you’ll get two entrees, two mains and two salads to go with your alcohol-fuelled lunch. The wagyu cheeseburger spring rolls was such a treat to eat – crisped and did indeed oozed the meaty and cheesy taste of a cheeseburger within. The betel leaf with barramundi and chillies acted as a palate cleanser, light and refreshing. For the mains, we had the beef curry and the famous five spice pork belly. Having had the pork belly at their sister restaurant before, it is just as amazing as I remembered. Sticky, sweet and smoky, with tender chunks of pork belly with crisped skin, this will blow your mind. The salads were a bit light on flavour, and the stars of the meal were definitely the mains.

Food was delicious and the menu was creative. One of the interesting dishes on the menu was the cheeseburger spring rolls. Other stand out dishes were the chicken wings, beef ribs and the chai pannacotta.
