Lou's Filling Station

A regular stop on a Bike Ride Day, Lou's never disappoints. The bartender is reliably attentive and friendly, the beer is reasonably priced and the food isn't bad either. It's a nice biker bar. While smoking is allowed inside, it's hard to say that you're actually inside at Lou's. The garage doors are always open and a nice breeze keeps the smoke to a minimum. The bathrooms are nice, well kept and nicely appointed. However, they're essentially a one-person deal. I've never had to wait more than a few minutes, but still, that could be a problem for customers on a crowded Saturday night. (Yes, I'm old. Old people think about things like that, dangit. Now get off my lawn.) The barstools are pretty beat-up but they're comfortable, and I don't know about you, but I'd rather sit on a shabby comfortable stool than a hard wood or metal one any day of the week. I ordered a chicken wrap with Cajun fries, which were delivered in a timely manner and at a very reasonable price. (Less than $10) I've never stopped by when the live music is playing but according to the flyers, they have it regularly. Conveniently located in scenic downtown, it's a good stop on your next bike ride.
