Edited- How times have changed. Reviews don't help. They won't read, much less change or respond. Chef Bob is gone. Such a wildly disappointing downfall. Our go-to date night place. Always gracious, attentive, not over-bearing service, and the meals are innovative, mouth-watering and mostly locally sourced. A quiet, white tablecloth atmosphere without the fuss or pretension of other fine-dining restaurants. So lucky to have them nearby!

Been here for brunch, lunch, and dinner many times and it is wonderful every time. Much of the menu is farm to table, so often the ingredients are local and fresh. The short rib sandwich is to DIE for and the potato salad is a family favorite. The biscuits they bring you as part of brunch are simply delicious and definitely homemade. The prices are a little steep for a small town like Mebane, but considering the quality and presentation of what you get, it's well worth it. A fantastic place for a date night, brunch with friends, or a tasty workday lunch. Excellent beer and wine selection. No drafts, beer is only bottles and cans if that matters to you. The environment appears very nice and more formal than it is, but it is a fairly casual place (no tie or jacket required). Staff are very friendly and informative regarding the menu. I've taken many friends and family here when they visit from out of town and have always had a wonderful experience.

The restaurant is beautiful. Our waitress was super friendly, but messed up our order a couple of times...we ordered oysters as appetizer, they never came out, and it took almost an hour to get our food!! The pork chop was a nice size, had good flavor but could have used a bit more seasoning...too bland. The fried chicken must have been over-marinated because the texture was off....almost powdery. The dirty rice was watery and overcooked. The red fish was the best entree at our table, but it came out cold. The chef was not very accommodating either...

Stopped by here for Sunday Brunch on a planned trip to the outlet mall in Mebane. What a great find! The atmosphere was nice; the food was great; the service was smooth and the prices were reasonable. I tried the shrimp and grits and mimosa - great taste and nice portion size. The only downside was the flies we had to keep swatting; I know it's summer time, but that was a little annoying. Other than that, it was great, and we will definitely be back.

Pleasantly Surprised!! A very nice restaurant featuring farm-to-table entrees that are absolutely delicious!! Had the opportunity to meet the executive chef, which was very nice. If you're looking for a good place to take a date or have a more sophisticated meal and you're in the area, The Mebane Downtown Table is an excellent choice!
