My family ate here last night for the 1st time and it was great. We had the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, DaBomb wrap, corn dogs and mac n cheese. ALL of it was awesome! Very flavorful, hot and fast. Several other items on the menu I will be trying in the future! Good homemade food!
Food was awesome. The all you can eat breakfast is the best. I have tried several things there and everything so far has been as good as I've found. The Onion rings are unbelievable also.
The service was phenomenal. The food was fixed fresh from meat that wasn't frozen or fixed in advance. My burger was hand patted and fixed when I ordered it. I got the three cheese and bacon burger with a side of fried mushrooms. My fiance got the chicken bacon club. It was so delicious and the homemade sauce served with it was great. We got to speak to the owners they were so friendly and genuine.
This is one of my go to places in McLeansboro and have their food at least once a week. Fried Chicken is very good as well as Mushrooms and Catfish. If I had to say I had anything I didn't particularly care for it was the coleslaw. But maybe that's just me. I thought it tasted a bit tinny. But I did eat it, I just never ordered it again. I also like the occasional French Toast Slam and the Biscuits and Gravy. I have really never had anything that I didn't like. It's just a good hometown cafe/restaurant doing basic meals at reasonable prices. Nothing fancy but good nice service, good food. And they remember your name!

Was in town for work with a coworker and arrived too early (don’t you hate time zones) so we decided to sit down and eat. Extremely friendly waiter (I think it was the owner) got us sat down and took our orders immediately. Both of us got the breakfast sampler (2 pc bacon, hashbrowns, 2 eggs, 2 pc sausage, and 2 pancakes, only 8.50!) and it was delicious. Waiter/Owner talked and chatted with us the whole time and had a great experience. Thinking of hitting the restaurant again for dinner as we leave, but if not, will definitely go to it when we’re back in town!
First time going there. Good selection on the menu. Staff very helpful. Good was great. Prices were good.
I really can't say enough about the owners/operators of this establishment. We usually go in atleast once a week, and they ALWAYS go above and beyond to accommodate. Before they left for vacation, they even delayed the closing of the restaurant just so we could get some food. This is the example of what customer service should be.
This restaurant was fantastic yesterday. My niece and I were so busy at moving some stuff. After a hard day we went here for lunch and we loved every bit of it. The staff was great and the food was awesome. It was nice having somewhere nice to take a break after moving stuff.
