Been here a few times, it is quite a ways from my house so don't get out here very often. In a building with 2 other restaurants and they seems to share some space so it is larger than the outside looks. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Servings are very large, you won't leave hungry. The pulled pork is excellent and they have 2 choices for additional BBQ sauces. While the ribs are large and full of meat, I was not a fan of the flavor. I had the sides of BBQ
Beans, potato salad and corn on the Cobb and all were excellent. The fried pies are excellent! Service is very good.
Great cole slaw, baked beans and sauce. The sauce makes up for the lack of fat in the pork. The potato salad was mustard based, so that is not my thing, as I like a mayonnaise based salad.
This is just a simple, local shack and for what it is, they do a good job. Nothing to write home about, but surely better than the other local bbq joints that claim to have won multiple awards.
Good Sandwiches, great fries, nice folks, amazing prices.. We tried Smoke Shack Bar-B-Q for the first time today, my wife had a chopped beef sandwich and I had a pulled pork sandwich, both with "original" sauce, french fries, and we split a half slab to try the ribs. We thought the sandwiches and fries were great, but the ribs were missing something, maybe just not our style, as we usually have baby back ribs instead of spares. The "original" sauce was great, reminded me of "The Shack" sauce. The restaurant seemed to be your standard BBQ joint, the help was fast and friendly, the manager was polite, and my to-go order was ready in around 5 minutes. The prices were great too. We'll be visiting again soon, and I may give the ribs another try just in case it was an off day, otherwise everything was great. I'll give it a 8 out of 10.

Good food, poor management at times.. First off I have eaten at smokeshack for a couple years and the food is always very good. Meat is smoked very well and sauce has good flavor. I do wish they served beer, as it goes so well with bbq. My problem with smokeshack falls more on management. My wife and I went there about 35 minutes till closing a couple weeks ago. We ordered and sat down. I went to get bbq sauce out of the warmer and noticed it had already been removed. The employees were cleaning up everything around us, sweeping and putting up. We got our food around 25 minutes till closing. At this point they turned the lights off in the front by the counter and locked the door. We were sitting there with employees around us obviously annoyed that we were there at almost half an hour before there closing time which was uncomfortable. If your open till 8pm then do not start trying to close up at 735. Do not put up the bbq sauce and make your customers uncomfortable. Wait the half hour before trying to close up. Yea I realize your ready to get home but I may not eat there again because of how rude it was to do this. I noticed another review with this exact problem so it seems to be a recurring theme.
Best eats in Maumelle (though not technically in Maumelle). Every time we go I eat the chopped beef sand which and my fiancée gets the ribs. We have yet to be disappointed. The only critique I have is the sogginess of the fries. I guess some people like their fried potatoes mushy, but I'm not that guy. Try the cord, green beans, or potatoe salad in their stead.
It's a dive but food is off the charts good!!!

Hands down best chopped beef you can find. Very lean with little to no fat. Simple & delicious. Wish it wasn't so far away.

Meat is deliciously smokey. Sauces are flavorful and unique and kept hot in vats for you. Slaw is amazing, beans are great, potatoe salad is pretty good..Best BBQ in the Little Rock area for sure.
Wow! Hubs and I needed a quick dinner, but didn't want "fast food". Remembered this little joint was right down the street, but haven't tried it in my 7 years of living here! Stopped in, placed a to-go order at the little shop with friendly staff, waited about 8 minutes, and my order was ready. I got BBQ plate and hubs got jumbo BBQ. We had beans and handcut french fries. Decent price at about $7-$9 per person. I used to work/prepare BBQ and I say this is as authentic as you can get. We enjoyed it and will definitely be returning.
Great BBQ. I come here quite a bit with my son. I always order the combo meal. I get a jumbo pulled pork with slaw and two sides and I usually order the beans and the potato salad. The potato salad is fantastic. It's tangy, made with a creamy mustard base. There are two sauces. One is vinegary and the other one is sweet and spicy. The one time I ordered ribs, they were pretty good. Lots of smoky flavor.
Really Good BBQ. I'm a BBQ snob and the BBQ at Smoke Shack is one of the only places where I will pay for BBQ. Their pork sandwich with slaw has great flavor, especially when paired with their spicy sauce.
They didn't used to have a spicy sauce but added one not too long ago and I love it. The pork is pulled, the buns are warm, and it's a comfortable place to eat.

This is the best BBQ you will find! Don't waste your time going anywhere else. Love their family pak as I'm always getting it to go. Great food, Friendly empoyees and great service will keep me coming back.
Good Q. Wife said she really enjoyed her pork sandwich. I had a half rack. The ribs had a smoke ring meaning they are really smoked not the fake stuff you get at a lot of places, they had a good flavor, not the stringy texture I like but that is just a personal preference. The sweet and spicy sauce is great.

If you have searched the world over for great BBQ like I have and have decided that Whole Hog in Little Rock is the best; but are concerned that there may be a pig that got away from you, then maybe you need to run down the road to The Smoke Shack.
Order a pork sandwich with 2 sides, the french fries are good and the beans are great. The sauce is in the dining room in a large container next to the wall. You can buy some at the counter to take home (and you probably will).
I don't like BBQ, but I thought I'd give this place a try, and I got the pulled pork with 2 sides and it was AMAZING! The meat wasn't dry or hard to chew. It was moist and the sauce was amazing, I got the sweet and spicy, which was great! The customer service was PHENOMINAL as well and I just felt so welcome when I walked in. Thanks for the WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!!! Will be back for sure!!!! :)
Wow. Generous portions and great prices. Everything was delicious. The pork and beef sandwiches were tender, juicy and tasty. I loved the fries and corn. The green beans were loaded with meat. I preferred the sweet & tangy sauce.
The Jumbo BBQ beef sandwich was great, nice hickory smoke flavor, juicy, and a big. The fries were crisp and hot. On top of that it only cost 9.99 with 2 sides and a drink.
Probably the best BBQ I've eaten. We are from Tennessee and were traveling home. Very small place and you might not notice it. Friendly service. I think they only do takeout right now.
Bbq was good mac n cheese bland. But it just needed salt and pepper. Mild sauce had a gentle kick but was really good.
Great BBQ with large portion sizes. You order at the counter and someone brings the food out to you. The pulled pork was smoky and there are three different flavors of barbecue sauce you can add to it.
