Nothing Bundt Cakes

I stopped by on Saturday, 12-4-21, to use a bogo coupon I was given the last time I'd stopped by. I still haven't tried all of their flavors in my quest to watch my waistline. I asked for lemon & red velvet. As the young lady was getting the cakes, she asked if I'd like a pumpkin spice. I said sure since it's a seasonal flavor but not one I'd usually pick; not the biggest pumpkin fan. She then asked if I'd like two. Not sure if she was being nice & generous or it wasn't selling and they had to get rid of it. Either way, I was grateful. It gave me an opportunity to give something away. I've been trying to cut back on sweets. This is what I call gym motivation. I officially have my splurges for the week. It needs to be a while before return, but not because of bad service or product. Was surprised to find chocolate chips in the red velvet. Please excuse the messy icing; aftermath from errand running.

I bought two cakes today, one chocolate chocolate chip and a red velvet. I was giving one cake as a gift and wanted to serve the other today. An hour and a half after I brought the bag with the two cakes in it into my house, I picked up one of the cake boxes and found the box to be very cold. This seemed odd but I thought maybe the cakes had been stored in the boxes in a refrigerator. But that didn’t make sense because I remembered the woman who rang up my purchase told me it would be 5 to 10 minutes for the cakes to be boxed so I walked over to Jersey Mike’s to get lunch. When I came back, she told me someone was boxing my cakes still. So why was that cake box so cold an hour and a half later? Once I tried to slice the cake I discovered why. I was able to slice about an inch into the cake before the knife got stuck in the frozen cake center. The cake had been frozen solid when it was put in the box. I was not told that I was buying a frozen cake. I chose to buy cakes here because I thought they were fresh and that I could serve one this afternoon. For what I payed for these two cakes I could have bought freshly baked, decorated cakes at Publix.

I love @nothingBundtcakes in Matthews. The customer service is remarkable and the cakes are always superb. The baby Bundts were a perfect touch to a recent baby shower and the 10 inch cakes were so festive for after dance recital celebration. I wish the baby bundts came in a half dozen so I can purchase and eat all by myself!!!!!
