Not your typical Chinese restaurant! This is much closer to the real deal then almost any place I have been in NJ. The soup dumplings are a must have. Best beef chow fun and salt and pepper fish I've had yet. If your coming for lunch try to get there before 12 because there's not a ton of seating and you'll end up having to wait.

I ordered from this place on Grubhub last night. It was the most amazing flavorful food !!! So high quality. It is not like your typical fast food Chinese. All the ingredients are fresh the dumplings are amazing! I ordered soup and the broth had so much depth and flavor. This place is definitely a hidden gem I’m glad I discovered!!

The pan fried pork buns and dumplings are delicious, as are the noodle and rice dishes. Must try the special dishes you can't find in other NJ Chinese shops like spicy fish filets in hot bean sauce and bean curd with black mushrooms and baby bok choy. Try the special value lunches M-F, closed Tuesday. Menu on website.

Absolutely love this place. The soup dumplings are amazing. We usually get 2 orders of soup dumplings along with an order of salt and pepper pork chops and it's the perfect balance. We've been going here for awhile and they seemed to recently purchase custom chops sticks, plates, and tea cups which may be small but makes me know they take pride in their product. Food has also increased in quality and if they're reading this I just want to say I appreciate your hard work. Keep up the great work!

Talk about a hole in a wall. BUT that’s where u usually find the good places. Don’t expect 5 star services here as they are not nor do they advertise to be. Some of the reviews are a bit obnoxious but they can’t please everyone all the times. It’s more of a local place and the locals get it. Get seated grab their menu from the counter. Circle what you want and give back to the counter. You could wait for the wait service to come and pick it up from you too. The specials are on the wall in English and Chinese so don’t worry. Same for the menu. For starters get the soup dumplings. After all the place is called Shanghai Bun. It’s pork only and they don’t do crab version so don’t ask. The rice cake with pickled vegetables are great. Beef Chow Fun is another basic but classic dish of ours. Their Chicken leg on Rice has a lint of lemon in it but makes the dish yummy. The tea egg that’s included looks disturbing but it tastes great. Trust me you gotta try it once. Their Singapore Chow Mei Fun is also another fav of ours. It’s curry based but not spicy. its a small quaint place can accommodate about 30-40 people tops. We do a lot of take out from them. Been going here for almost 6 years after my cousin from Wyckoff mentioned it.

I love this restaurant's food, it's really good. I'm not fond of very spicy Chinese food, this restaurant provide mild flavor as well as spicy option. Shanghai fried rice is good option to order, and if you like salty sweet flavor, you can order eggplant with garlic sauce. Soup dumpling was ok. I'll try different dishes next time.

On a recommendation from someone on Instagram, I was going for some more Chinese food and dumplings. The beef noodle soup was quite flavorful. Sometimes the broth can be quite plain, and while not very seasoned, it had a lot of complexity. The soup buns were pretty good. I’ve had a run of some “ok” soup buns lately so this was on the upswing to a better version. Could have used a little better flavor in the broth. The spicy wontons were also good. Not overly hot, plenty of other flavor elements, but enough for a tingle.
