Review Pauline's Italian Cuisine - Matawan

Dinner Saturday night in the neighborhood and while I’ve lived here for over 17 years I haven’t been to Pauline’s nearly enough. Great service in a quaint little Italian restaurant with awesome food! I was in the mood for traditional Veal Parm and it was melt in your mouth goodness! My wife has one of the fish specials and it was also top notch (fresh, light sauce and flavorful)! We started with the mussels In red sauce and they were delicious also! Thank you Pauline’s for a great meal and we’ll be back..

The staff was very nice did not know about bring your wine. The baked clams were over cooked and burnt. The grilled calamari was tough. We order the special my husband had steak pizzaola, tough and only a half potato for $50, I had the Chilean sea bass was good but drowning in capers. That was $48. The money was not an issue and when we went to pay, there was a $6.40 charge for using a charge card and this was not posted anywhere on the menu. This was our first date night since COVID. The building is also in need of great repair. Sorry Pauline your restaurant should retire.

What a great night! Family run Italian restaurant with amazing food and even better service. The veal chop was so good. Highly recommend.

My new go to restaurant, service is great and the food is absolutely phenomenal, no exaggeration. We went there three times already and I cleaned my plate all three times. You can't find a better place anywhere. Cheers to the staff and especially the chefs!!

Very good authentic Italian cooking. Extensive list of specials, all sounded amazing. Good atmosphere BYO which is nice. Excellent and attentive service. Only reason for 4 stars is it was a bit pricey for pasta, but would definitely go back.

Had Chilean Seabass tonight and my wife enjoy Chicken Franchise absolutely delicious.. Best night time to would be Wednesday and Thrusday. Great food and great staff.. One of my favorites.

Beautiful little room on the side, excellent service, and wonderful food. We were the last customers of the evening and had the room to ourselves, so nice!

Fabulous Family owned restaurant!!! My husband & I don't live close so don't get there as much as we would like to, but when we dine in, the ambience is comfortable & warm, like the chef/ owner Sergio & his family!! All meals we've had were cooked on point with the just the right amount of seasoning. Fish dishes, pasta to meats & poultry!!! And Deserts... well... let me just say, save room! Weather you cook or just need a break, try them out , they don't disappoint!

Been here twice, first time was with a large group, family dinner..second time with friends for dinner. They are very accommodating, friendly and attentive . The atmosphere is warm and cozy. Food is delicious and BYOB. Wish I had found this place sooner.
