Great local place. Open even winter time. Great and cozy. Drinks are always amazing. Food is delicious. Highly recommending the lobster Quesadilla, steak tips and the salmon. Many sandwich options. Great lunch menu. Cheese cake is the dessert to be ! Pricing - downtown nantucket prices

I sat at the bar since I was on my own. Ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich with garlic tots. The sandwich was great, but the tots weren’t garlicky at all, except for a little sprinkle of dried up pieces. I had some great conversation at the bar and met a wonderfully welcoming new friend. It’s a really nice experience.

Charlie Noble is a fantastic place, not just for the food but the history of the location it's on is interesting as well. The lobster mac'n'cheese was the best we had for the entire week, and we were in Maine before Nantucket. The beef tips were perfectly cooked, and had the perfect seasoning, they really were good enough to use 'perfect' twice in the same sentence. The surf and turf burger was an amazing combination of flavors that work together, well, perfectly. The staff was very friendly, and attentive. I don't know about any problems others had, looking over reviews, but I'm guessing the current owners became aware of it and fixed that problem before it became a bigger issue. No one wants to have a bad experience in a new place, and the owners seem like the kind of people that care about everyone having a good experience in their restaurant. This is the site of the oldest restaurant location on the island, 'The Green Coffee Pot' was the first restaurant and has a small placard outside the front door with some information about that. During renovations for Charlie Noble, they found a very old painted mural that displayed locations from the island that has been buried by other renovations for years. The current owners kept, and restored, the artwork because of the history associated with the restaurant and Nantucket Island. There is an old story about the house depicted, that says, during a bad storm the house was struck by lightening, and the next day someone noticed that the house painted in the mural had a crack in the exact place lightening struck the real house. If you look up when you enter the front, you can see the framing that joins the original building to the building that was next to it. The flat spot in between the peaks is where the alley between the buildings originally was. If you enjoy great food with an amazing amount of history attached to a place, this is definitely worth every dollar. The last thing I will say is this, right outside the back door of the restaurant is one of the best photogenic spots of the bay.

We went in the mid-afternoon on a Sunday after getting off the ferry. It wasn't busy so we got a table right away and the food was great. The chowder was not my favorite, but the crab cake on salad was perfect, and my husband really liked his buttered lobster roll. We had a window table with a charming view, but most of the interior is darker but with high ceilings. Family friendly. We would eat here again. About $25 per person.

Wanted to find a nice dinner spot for our last night on the island. They have a large patio with a great view. The fish and chips were pretty good and you could tell the fish was fresh. I always hate knocking stars for service, but our server acted like she really didn’t want to be bothered and wasn’t very attentive. Would definitely go back for the location and fresh quality and view but the service really put a damper on it.

Didn't matter how many bites I took, every time I lifted the fork there was another lobster chunk. I have had dozens of lobster macs, this was the best, in the world.

Beautiful setting, friendly staff, and amazing food! I have celiacs and must order gluten free. They easily accommodated my needs and brought me the lobster Mac and cheese prepared gluten free. To same it was amazing would be selling it short! Tremendous! My wife ordered the crab cake BLT with tots and loved it as well. This won’t be the last time we come here!
