I have been here a couple of times. The first time the food was OK, the second time it was really, really good. Both times, the prices were VERY GOOD. The two taco (ground beef or chicken) plate with rice and beans is $6.99, and a chili relleno ala carte is only $3.00. It's definately worth it to me to eat there a few more times, I'm hoping that the first time I was there was a fluke, because my second time everything was spot on. --- I moved to Martinez a couple of months ago, so I have discovered there are more than one "Cinco de Mayos" all from the same family. There are TWO in Martinez, and both are great food for a great price. The Pacheco location has continually provided wonderful food, the first time I was there was definitely a fluke. I LOVE THIS PLACE!
Decent taqueria, they are a little stingy on salsa. Taco salad is their best dish.
I have been looking for great Mexican food all over the bay area since moving here from southern California and finally found it. Food is served very quick and decent area to eat. Pork and carne asada are amazing. I haven't had anything that isn't great.
This place has the best tacos around. I come from across the bridge to get these and it's worth the extra in $5 tolls to get them. The salsa is amazing too!

Truthfully I got really burnt out on The Big Burrito Mexican food places. That popped up all over back in late 90s I know I barely go to the Mexican restaurants like these anymore but this is a super popular one in Martinez on Pacheco and I was hungry and didn't feel like cooking so I got a burrito and it was good I liked it. Yeah it was very good I was I was happy with it. really big I'm a big guy and it was enough food. So if you like Mexican restaurant Mexican food or even if you don't. You should try out this place Cinco de Mayo. You'll be satisfied with what you get. I would suggest that they should give you more chips. And follow people that do a lot of reviews if you want a real honest review. when you read reviews and there's only 1 or 5 star reviews.watch out. Because its either a person. Or a dissatisfied customer that reviewed one place one time. neither one are reliable. Look for reviews that it's somebody that reviews a lot of places. That will be a reliable honest review 99% of the time. Only other critique I would say is people need to smile more when they're waiting on their customers and be more friendly and that's not just this place it is every place. Thank you and good dining
