The Grill At Fairview Inn

Rang in 2022 correctly with a delicious meal at The Grill at Fairview Inn in Marshfield, MA! 🎉 Visiting the Cape during the winter is so worth it. Food pictured: 1) Corned Beef Egg Rolls - Shredded cabbage, Swiss cheese, mustard aioli and Guinness grain mustard for dipping. 2) Filet Formaggio - Pepper-seared center cut filet, garlic and herb goat cheese, red wine reduction, asparagus and zucchini. 3) Fried Scallops - House fries, slaw, lemon wedge and tartar sauce. SO GOOD. The steak was cooked perfectly and the scallops were so buttery and tender. The service was excellent too. Can’t wait to go back!

Amazing amazing amazing!! A brookie - cookie? Brownie? Both!! Hot from the oven - homemade like pretty much everything from here. Started with the best house salad on the south shore (or maybe the world) -clam chowder- chicken marsala. Have never had a bad anything here. Owners are such nice down to earth people. Got to talking, owner is chef (amazing) his wife runs the front and loves fresca! (Fresca and jack which is surprisingly delish) if you want from scratch, great food a water view and a fresca from the gun— run, don’t walk to The Grill at Fairview Inn

We just came from the 12 o’clock seating for Easter brunch. The parking was difficult and when I finally found parking we waited a good twenty minutes outside in a line in the chilly air. Once we entered the restaurant and reached the front desk I noticed that the restaurant had over booked their place because it was way over crowded. I’m sure the legal occupancy for place was over the limit. Their first question was what’s your name and did you leave a deposit. A twenty dollar deposit was needed to make a reservation. Which we had done. We were finally seated and then waited patiently for drinks and to get in line for the buffet. Our drinks came and we were told to go and get our food from the buffet. As soon as we got up I noticed there were two lines that were merging into one. I felt like we were cattle just waiting without direction. Finally a member from the wait staff asked us to move to another line which now made us wait longer in line. After a good 20 minutes standing in line we finally reached the food which was a limited selection with no breakfast items that were previously advertised. The food that was available was of poor quality and a very disappointing selection to choose from. I was really looking forward to a nice Easter brunch with my family and this was a big disappointment. To add insult to our experience the restaurant didn’t credit me for the twenty dollar deposit, but I made sure to tell the waitress to do so.
