Review Sadler's Ordinary - Marlborough

I ordered the Pan Seared Scallops with Asparagus risotto, mashed sweet potatoes and fresh green beans. It was so good and the scallops were done just right. Definitely happy I stopped here. Perfect stop before going to Foxfarm Brewing which is less than a 20 minutes drive.

My husband and I made a deliberate trip to Sadler’s for Beef Wellington. We even called in advance. We love Filet Mignon but had never tried Beef Wellington. It was cooked perfectly Medium Rare as ordered. It looked beautiful. After a few bites in my husband and I looked at each other. We tried to distinguish it as maybe the mushrooms underneath the crust but that wasn’t it. It was gamey tasting. It was the meat itself. At 37$ per meal I expected a bit more as far as freshness and flavor. The mashed potatoes had no potato flavor. They tasted like watery instant potatoes. The fresh vegetable medley and mashed sweet potatoes were perfect. The bread was good but it would have been nicer if served warm so the chilled butter pats would melt. Our server was cordial and showed concern but we are older and we didn’t want to complain. We left an 18% tip. It’s a nice warm friendly restaurant. We will return but will definitely try another entree next time. Thank you.

New favorite restaurant. Food was incredible- everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned like it was actually homemade. Chicken pot pie was superb. Very reasonable prices and portion sizes. The patio had a wonderful vibe with string lighting and live music. The waitstaff was down to earth and friendly. It was perfect for our anniversary dinner. Excellent alternative to a chain restaurant.

Normally good portion but tonight not so. My wife had the Sword Fish. Very thin piece of fish. Sword Fish should be thicker for taste. We would rather pay a little more and have a better piece of fish. This is not the meal to skimp on. Hopefully you will see this and make a change in the future. Better to not serve it this way.

My wife and I have dined here on a number of occasions, both outside dining in the summer as well as inside. The inside is typical New England charm, with a fireplace and a colonial type vibe. Outside dining is great with large round tables that will seat up to eight comfortably, with umbrellas to shield you from the sun. The wait staff is excellent as is the food, which is a reasonably priced. It's a great place for a night out.

My husband had the meatloaf and I had a salad (Thai Chicken). Both meals were great but I have to say the chicken was amazing! Service was outstanding. Oh and did I mention it's right next door The Shops at Marlborough Barn? We will be back.

Fantastic dining experience! Sadler's outdoor patio provides a beautiful, peaceful setting for lunch. Menu is diverse, and I was wowed by the fresh Spinach-Artichoke dip and Pear Salad. We will definitely return!

Absolutely everything about the visit to the restaurant was above excellent. Our service, food, and the atmosphere was above and beyond. The portions were huge for the price we paid. Definitely would recommend here
