I had the chicken salad croissant and my husband had the Reuben sandwich. Both meals were great. The service was friendly and efficient.
Great service very courteous friendly!! Food was fantastic salad bar is money and the chicken tenders are legit!!! Bring your big boy pants and be ready to eat!! Small kids they would feed three or four on serving!! Fries portions very plentiful!!! If you come to Hungry Mother State Park and don't have food packed the Restuarant has you covered!!
This was our first time at Hungry Mother's State Park Restaurant. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. It was a chilly day so they had a nice fire going in the fireplace. We both ate off the buffet. It was really good, home cooking. At the time of day we were there they had both lunch, breakfast, and their salad bar set out. Plus absolutely delicious desserts. We were both impressed with the food and staff. The only drawback I saw was it is an old building and the disabled bathroom stall was a bit outdated. The meal was a bit pricey at $15.99 each but I will definitely return. I'm craving their coconut cake already lol
The food is consistently good. The selection on the menu is pretty extensive, but not overly expensive. The wait staff are always friendly and attentive.
This restaurant has a simple menu but with enough selection to satisfy most casual diners. We particularly enjoyed the fried green tomatoes and fried pickles appetizers. The BBQ sliders were also very nice. A relaxing and satisfying lunch enjoyed on the terrace overlooking the lake.
Great view of the lake! Food not worth a special trip but something basic for everyone, and nice to have a break from cooking if you are staying in the park. The night we were there there was live music on the lawn between the deck and the lake: lovely! Staff was wonderful, too.
