Abbey Coffee Company

Abbey Coffee - you know, that place near Dunham's and the Hallmark Store you're always almost remembering to investigate. Well, it's finally investigated. A little. Con: no de-caf. Pro: I was served a nice ginger plum tea, hot, recommended by Hadley, the friendly and efficient woman who seemed to be the only worker there when I visited. The premises were clean. Not a lot was going on though, which can be a good thing or not, depending on what you want from a coffee shop. I noticed that there's an upstairs area available for those who might want to stay a while. I had to keep moving, but I'll remember to stop by for another good cup of tea the next time I'm in Marion!

Great Ambience! It's so relaxed and laid-back, kind of cozy. I've been in town a little more frequently due to work and it's nice to have found a good coffee shop to stop by when I'm in town. I haven't been able to explore their drinks as much as I'd like to but so far so good, I've liked what I've had. The Blue Crane hot tea is so far one of my favorites, a little ironic maybe. Service had been good and I've had a good experience in my few visits.

I am currently nestled into a corner seat, watching this awesome coffee shop come to life. To my right there is a large open room with a stage. Directly ahead is the coffee bar, and a well stocked book store is to the right. I am lucky enough, that I am here on a breezy Saturday morning. The garage door is open and they have some relaxing late 70s early 80s music going. It looks like a small farmer's market is setting up out in front. Honestly, every town needs a spot like this. As for the coffee, it really doesn't get any better. I followed another reviewers advice and started with a vanilla latte. Absolutely delish! I am patiently awaiting the "fresh scones" to bake. In the meantime, I shall enjoy my latte and read a book. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! UPDATE: Pretty sure the Orange Chocolate Chip Scone is probably one of the yummiest things I've had in a long time!
