Went to lunch w fellow older members of our organization for lunch & meeting. We were seated elbow to elbow... not possible to "socially distance". We all commented on how uncomfortable that made us feel.
Then, during our meeting we were curtly told we needed to leave so they could clean up. "You need to leave after eating."...
We had made reservations w the number of attendees & that it was lunch & a meeting.
We won't do this again. Never had a bad experience here b-4. Times have changed.

I got completely filled up on a Homestyle lunch buffet. Todays meat Choice was roast pork and prime rib. It was already cut up in a pan of juice. The vegetable of the day was mashed potatoes and corn. The salad bar had a limited number of toppings. The dessert table had four choices. The service, decorations and ambience of the building was excellent.

This is a nice place for lunch. The Hostess House is very beautiful. The lunch wasn't as good as we hoped it would be. The soup wasn't fantastic, but the salad was. It's a good place to get a group together. It looks like the perfect place to have a baby or bridal shower. We will most likely go back.

Beautiful place. Pretty food. Service is lacking, and rude if you have dietary restrictions. Don't change anything or you will get angry faces. You will leave hungry and frustrated. Not kid friendly, dress to impress, go there to put on the Ritz.

I was invited to attend a special holiday dinner held at The Hostess House. Ed Breen, featured speaker, and a Sagamore of the Wabash, shared some of Charles Dickens' personal reflections on Christmas. Madrigal Singers in period dress caroled during dining. Carolers and guests alike sang to two attendees celebrating their birthdays this special evening. The buffet featured foods that would likely have been served during Dickens' time. I have never tasted such delicious carrots. Wassail, sweet and steaming, was served at the end of the meal. And, my oh my, the black coffee tasted good on this wintery night! The House is elegant, kept with love by dedicated women of Marion. I was given an impromptu tour of part of second floor, which also houses the gift shop, and features paintings by local artists as well as historical period portraits. What a memorable evening spent with my father and some of his friends at this beautiful Marion landmark.

They have Authentic Titanic tickets on display and A Very nice thrift store in the basement.
I don't recall dining here though, so cannot comment to the quality of food and service.

This is an absolutely beautiful place with a lot to offer and some gorgeous rooms. The board running the place is full of passionate and dedicated people. I didn't eat here, but the food did smell amazing too.
