I have not been to Star of India since the Parkersburg location closed. I had been dying to try it again. The addition of Sunday hours was a fantastic surprise for an after Church lunch. We decided to go today for Father's day/my birthday. The food was fantastic and did not disappoint. The addition of the mango dessert now rivals my all time favorite rice pudding. The buffet had a great selection of the menu and was very fresh. The waitress was very friendly.
Side note- As we were dining a gentleman came in on his own using crutches. Upon being asked if he wanted the buffet and responding yes the waitress promptly offered to help the gentleman. She then made his plate upon his selections and took it to his table.

I live in Cambridge, Ohio, but I'm frequently in the Marietta area and I was very surprised to see an Indian restaurant while downtown. I usually have to drive to Columbus or Canton. Tonight for dinner I tried the Navrattan Curry and Paneer Shahi Korma from the Vegetarian menu and both were delicious! The staff was very friendly and the food was served quickly. I'll definitely be back.
The best Indian food I've ever had. I've brought people from Los Angeles, Boston and around Ohio and they all agree.
We have been eating at Star of India since it opened in Parkersburg ; and extremely happy to see a buffet back at the restaurant . We been driving to Canton for a Sunday buffet but now we don't have to drive that far to get good Indian food!

Just as good as their last store. Food was great (chicken tikka masala) and the service was too. The only potential problem might be the parking since there isn't much a the moment.
The Star of India is an excellent restaurant and the owners are lovely people. It used to be in Vienna, WV. That closed and then they had the food truck and they now have the Marietta, OH. restaurant.
They are vendors at the Multicultural festival every year and have a location in Athens, Ohio.
I have been a patron at their restaurants for many years and the food has always been superb. Everything is excellently prepared and is simply delicious.
I can't say enough good things about the restaurant and the people who own it. A1, all stars, all the way.
I wish I could rate it a 4.5 because that is more accurate. The staff was kind and checked in on me appropriately. The food was just fantastic. I went chicken tikka masala for my first official Indian cuisine (a classic) and it was wonderful. I look forward to returning.
This is my favorite restaurant in the MOV. I keep their number on speed dial for those nights when I order takeout.
Their food is always HOT, FRESH, and DEEELICIOUS! The staff is sweet and friendly. The portions are more than generous. Everything is seasoned to perfection. They have a wide variety of dishes to choose from, including vegetarian dishes. I can’t recommend them enough!!!!
Some go-to’s of mine are the Shrimp Kashmiri, Vegetable Samosas, Paneer Palak… I could go on. Also, they have the best naan I have ever had in my life.

I go here ALL the time! I absolutely love this place! The food is amazing and the staff is super helpful! The owner even went above and beyond to accommodate me for my dietary restrictions! They are the ASOLUTE BEST!!! Order anything on the menu, it will not disappoint!
Splendid meal. We had samosas, mutter paneer, onion stuffed naan, mango lassi, and an Indian tea. All were delicious and I'm sure I'll be craving them all soon
