Jamaican Jerk

This spot has some real good food. I can't get enough of the Jerk Chicken. What is even better is the service. The young lady in the front is always friendly and gets my order right. The gentleman are kind and answered all my question relating to the menu. This is a must try spot. Expect to wait to place an order and for your order to be put together. If they don't pick up the phone its because they are attending to the customers so please don't blame them for this. FYI the small portion is the perfect for lunch anything bigger you will have left overs.

I eat here a couple times a month and it's usually pretty good. Today I wasn't so pleased. I ordered the oxtails and had to wait about 15 mins until they were don't, no problem. They usually show you your order before they bag it but not this time, which was not a big deal because the food is usually fine. When I got back to work and opened the container I was not too happy. Some of the oxtails needed to be cooked a little longer and there was no gravy and the plantains I ordered were dry. If I had time I would have taken it all back.

I love Jamaican food and I am from the islands so I know good food! Let me start out by saying the steam cabbage and plantains were great! However the rice and peas was an epic failure! At first I thought it was the sauce that had too much cloves or whatever spice was used BUT it was the rice itself! It was horrible!!! I don’t know if it wasn’t fresh but the taste was really bad. The stew chicken was okay. There were 2 pieces of white meat and 1 drummet. I was so hungry so I visited the restaurant for the 1st time today and there were 8 ppl on front me in line. So I thought that was a good sign but I was definitely wrong. I will never be back!

I usually don't rate....BUT.....I googled this place and decided to go based off the reviews. When I pulled up the line was crazy long, so that was a good sign. I ordered the curry goat with peas and rice, Cabbage (they were almost out of the cabbage, so he also gave me greens) and fried plantain......HANDS DOWN DELICIOUS.....I will be back!!

It's alright. The curry goat was deliciously spiced but had way too many bones and I'm used to eating meat with bones. A couple were large, as expected, but there were several small ones hiding in the curry-pretty much filled one compartment of my takeout box with them. Some of the goat was tender and some was overcooked. Plus the price of the goat online is different from what's actually in shop. In reality it's a couple bucks more. Their jerk chicken is also ok but nothing I'd go back for. Overall I'd give it a 2.5/5 and would rather check out Come Take a Bite Jamaican Cuisine in Norcross. I had a friend's leftover goat, rice and beans and it was still better. Can't wait to try a fresh order.
