The Oaks

Good food for a cheap price. All you can eat buffet for lunch and a steak house for dinner. I decided to give it a chance and ordered a t-bone, thing was like four inches thick. Never tried the seafood night but I know people who have nothing but good things to say. Buffet is southern food, items change throughout the week but think home cooking. Fried and baked chicken are every day, some type of fish, then depending on day they'll have country fried steak, pork chops, ect.

My first time dinning here.. In one word ..AMAZING! THE BEST FOOD EVER!! I tasted my mother's fresh fried corn, her beef tips and rice and tears fell down my face...my mother passed away in 2016 ..I NEVER expected to taste her cooking again.. Thank you to THE OAKS RESTAURANT..I don't know who the cook is but you and my mother must be kin.. The staff here was also very friendly making me feel right at home .

Have not eat here in over a year, has changed owners since last time here. Still great food and service is the best. Was leaving and I mentioned that I missed the peach cobbler and the waitress said she made some earlier, she went to the kitchen and came back with a large to go box of great peach cobbler. Service with great staff makes this a hit and the food is as good as you can expect. Will be back....

Came on a Sunday afternoon for lunch, & discovered a GREAT down-home, country-cookin buffet. With everything from fried fish, to baked chicken, pot roast & mashed potatoes with gravy....& an excellent selection of homemade desserts as well. Sweet tea was DELISH, & the service was awesome. Made us feel right at home like the locals!!!

We went down from Dothan to have our first experience at The Oaks on Friday, July 29th, 2022. Arriving at 5:00 p.m., we were seated immediately and our server, Monique, took our drink orders right away. I'll cut to the chase and say that I had not had a t-bone steak in years, but I saw the 18 Oz version on their menu for $23, and went for it. I ordered it medium well, and it was cooked perfectly. It was a good 1 inch thick. I have never had a steak like that that I can remember. It was fantastic. Our friend ordered a New York strip medium rare and his wife ordered the t-bone like I did. My wife got two fillets of broiled grouper. Everything was good, the service was great, and I only spent $50 including the tip. We will definitely be back soon.

Our waitress was very intuned to our needs. She brought over a high chair base to put our baby in that was asleep in her car seat. She answered menu questions and checked on things for us. She suggested what we needed, and that's just the beginning. The food itself was sooooo good. I ordered the beef tips, with mashed potatoes and cole slaw. They were the absolute best I've ever had. Delicious. My daughter ad a fish filet sandwich she enjoyed. My son had a burger and fried which were good. My friend ordered shrimp and loved them. And they brought over some grits for the baby when she woke up. Delicious food, kind people and a great experience.
