I absolutely love this restaurant! They have the best, fresh, farm to table food and most of all the staff! They hire the best talent. They just made my day today! Please try it if you’re close by.
Holy cow. We went to Frank Pepe's in New Haven, CT a few years ago and had what we felt to be the best pizza we EVER had. About a year after that it was rated the top pizza in America in a big CBS reviewer poll/ article. But then we went to Arturo's in Maplewood and never looked back. EVERY SINGLE TIME we go it is a massive treat. It is easily the best pizza for zillions of miles and could even be the best in the states (so, the world then?). Look, I'm not kidding. And they CARE over there and the wait staff is tremendous. If you haven't been you are really missing out on greatness.
Pizza was incredible; mushrooms and onions with their hot chili and truffle sauce. Right by the train station in a nice little neighborhood. Definitely making a point to go back.

Just got back from Rome and this pizza is as good as pizza we had in Naples !!! And the pasta was amazing!!! Get there before they open ... there is a line out the door.
Best pizza I've ever had. Environment was intimate and cozy. Would recommend over and over again!
This place is just amazing. We cannot get enough of their ricotta crostini or their pizza!
As good as it gets.when it comes to pizza. Asked for garlic powder was given fresh garlic
The farmers salad and the farm pie (it was a farm kind of day) were both delicious. My first time there and I'll definitely be back.
So delicious! The wait wasn't bad at all and the service was great. Our waitress was so sweet and helpful. We cannot wait to go back!!
Arturo's Osteria never disappoints! From the service to the food! Can't wait to go back again!
I want to say it's terrible so that I don't have to wait for a table so often, but I can't...and I will happily wait. One of the small byob gems of New Jersey. Fresh ricotta crostini, charcuterie, seasonal local farm salads and greens, the MUSHROOM RAVIOLI, the wild boar ragu. I didn't even get to the pizza. 2 wine shops less than 100 feet away. Come often.
Tasty dishes at Arturo's.
The restaurant is BYOB so be sure to stop by a liquor store beforehand.
They get busy on Friday and Saturday nights so it's worth booking ahead.
The pizzas are high quality and come big enough to share a small one if you're not so hungry. Alternatively if you get a large it's possible to share between 2 easily.
The salad is delicious as well as the meat board.
All the servers were very friendly and helpful to all our needs.
Arturo’s is a must! Delicious pizza that is made to perfection. The crust is just incredible and the white pie is the best I have ever eaten. It has subtle notes of sea salt that brings out the other flavors. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. This is a must for those that love good food!
Came here on a Friday night around 8. It was busy but the 4 of us were able to get a table right away. Immediately knew food was going to be good because the place had that good smell.
We got two pizzas, one plain for the kiddos and a special pizza that was on the board. All were very good. Also got side of meatballs and a beet salad, also solid dishes.
The one unfortunate part of our meal was the service, which for a lack of better word, SUCKED (cap letters for emphasis). Waters and drinks took 5 minutes, side of bread, almost 10min. Our waitress seemed to not even care. This is why only 4 stars. Otherwise go with confidence.
It’s a great little restaurant, the pizza was very good. The only reason why I’m not giving it 5 stars is just because I was expecting a little more since I read some of the reviews and is almost at 5 stars, so I took my mom here for her birthday. There’s a small menu, not so much to choose from but it’s BYOB so you can bring your wine bottle. Make sure you call to see if they’re open because the hours they have on google is not updated. Overall a great restaurant to enjoy it with friends and family ❤️
Bosco pizza was amazing. Probably one of the best pizzas I ever had. The fontina cheese really brought out the flavors and the fresh mushrooms are delicious. Margherita pie was decent. Service could be a little better.
Absolutely amazing experience. They don’t take reservations, had a short wait of about 20 mins for 2 around 7:00 on a Tuesday night. To start we had the crostini and the sautéed greens. For entrees we had the zucca special pizza (seasonal zucchini) and the wild boar Ragu pasta. Everything was absolutely delicious can’t believe this place has gone under my radar for this long. Will be back very soon!

Cozy place. Staff is young and very polite. Ricotta Crostini is more beautiful than good. The bread was a little hard to use fork and knife but the ricotta taste was good. Nothing special on it though.
My wife order the Wild Mushroom Ravioli, which was really good but as the picture shows, it’s not too much food.
I ordered the Cinghiale Wild Boar Ravi bianco with mushrooms. The meat was really good and it’s a LOT more food than the Ravioli, but the sauce had too much olive oil for my taste. The flavor was great but my body doesn’t accept oiled food so well. I will definitely come again but I will order something else next time.
