Porkys Drive In

Finally able to visit this past Saturday evening, everything was great , service was super and speedy. Was definitely worth the 45 min drive, sure will be visiting more often now that were getting out of winter Going in there reminded me of the good days of the past. Cant say it enough , that's why I like to always eat and shop local!

I LOVE PORKY'S! Prices are cheap, food is good, environment is sweet! Feels like an old dinner, smells like an old dinner! Friendly staff and friendly locals! I loved this place so much, me and my husband went back home after our trip, grabbed our kids and took a long ride back just to take them for the experience. If you love small old dinners, old theme, old fashioned simple food, COME HERE. For 4 meals and 3 drinks and with a good tip, I only paid $35, and again that was including a good tip.

I can see why they've been in business since 1949! The coney sauce is definitely only for certain tastes. We didn't care for it, but tastes is subjective. We ordered burgers, fries and the chicken dinner. The burgers were delicious, fries were reminiscent of those served hot, fresh and greasy, at the county fair. They're even served with vinegar and ketchup! The fried chicken was 💣!! The skin was beautifully colored, crispy and flavorful. The chicken itself was juicy and packed with flavor. They also serve a homemade root beer in a frosted mug. The kids and my husband loved it, I, on the other hand, did not. There was a little kick of something, that left a not so great aftertaste. It almost seemed like the aftertaste a diet pop leaves behind. Service was good and the food came out pretty quickly. Its awesome to have the choice to dine in or sit in your car..it is a drive in afterall!

Got a cheeseburger and an order of fries, the food was good and the fries resembled the taste of those you'd get at a fair. On the other hand, it took the waitress close to 10 minutes to come get our order and she was unpleasantly sassy while waiting on us. Her passive-aggressive attitude, coupled with this diner screaming for a facelift and other updates, lead to the experience being just okay and not that impressive.
