Checking out Manitou after riding the cog. We were starving. I've had The Keg on my list for a while, so we finally tried them. Cute place. The server was by herself, seating guests as well. She was on fire! She needs a raise.
As a burger snob, I have a heavy bias toward chargrilled meat. So I was excited. We both got the Southwest burger, with pepper jack, guacamole, and a grilled green chili. The burger is fantastic! Such an amazing flavor. Like a backyard cookout. For you tourists, they source the meat from Ranch Foods Direct, our local high quality butcher. Local beef. You can definitely taste the quality. Next time, I'm just getting a plain burger because the meat is that good.
Overall, after 2 1/2 years here, I found the BEST burger in El Paso County.

They advertise that they have the best food in Manitou. They could be correct as it's pretty darn good. It has a good classic bar feel.

Stumbled upon this fun place while strolling through Manitou Springs. Was greeted immediately and advised that she would be right with us. The server was excellent! He even brought out some fruit for our 8 month old. Other servers/ bartenders loved our funny and outgoing 8 month old and came up and talked to her. This made it feel very family-friendly and inviting. The food was excellent. Very well cooked. It was the best chicken sandwich I've had in a very long time. Not overcooked and very flavorful. My other half had a french dip. He said it was very good as well. Server came and checked on us numerous times but not overbearing. He was so laid back and easygoing! Will definitely return and recommend to all our friends and family when they visit.

Great food service wasn't all that great I've could've drank 3 beers before my dinner but bartender wasn't around until she brought my plate 😞. Food was great 👍

Wonderful place to grab a bite to eat. I went here with my family. It was so wonderful to get fresh food at a place that still cares about the quality of what they produce. I grew up with a 5 star restaurant owning head chef for a dad. I genuinely enjoyed the food here. In a world that is speeding up and just throwing out food to earn a quick dollar, this lounge was like an oasis in the desert.
The atmosphere is very "old - school" pub. It's definitely unique, and I enjoyed that. Something about it just felt like a place where you could hang your hat and stay a while. It's a lot like an old friend and less like a standard cookie cutter building.
The service was great. We even had a few spills at our table, and the waitress was so kind about it. Definitely friendly and attentive.
This place is worth a stop if you get the chance. I'll certainly be back. :)

You have GOT to check this place out! The gal said they have the best fries in town and she wasn’t kidding. The burgers were amazing as well. We shared potato skins that were phenomenal!

Stopped by here for a quick meal. They were very accommodating of me wanting a meal off the kids menu, which I appreciate greatly. The place was busy but the servers were quick and so very polite. I'd love you come back here for a burger and beer some time. It looked like they had a pretty decent selection of drinks too.

Alexis was our worker bee and she was so friendly! Our sandwiches were top notch delicious! My daughter loved the tasty French fries!! We also got the cheesy toast, oh my!!

Best beyond burger my wife and I have ever eaten! We arrived just before the lunch rush. Twenty minute wait after us. The place was packed. Good atmosphere. A little noisy. There were only two waiters on staff slowing down service. It's pretty typical as we are still feeling the fallout from covid.

Best burger ever. After we were charged $30 for two (mediocre) drinks at the Bee in Colorado Springs, where the arrogance is palpable, and best illustrated by the addition of an automatic 20% tip to the tab, we were truly impressed at the Keg. Our bartender, “T” Served up a healthy helping of banter and engaging charm along with a lemon drop that was far superior to most any bar. And buffalo burgers a half inch thick were only two dollars more than regular beef. You know you’ve come to the right place when the cook says he came for the burgers long before he ever started working there. Oh yeah, And the fresh greens with four kinds of fresh berry salad vinegar raspberry dressing best I’ve ever had, even though I had just been taken for Valentine’s Day to Morton’s and had a very tasty salad for about four times the price.

I absolutely love this place, the people who run it and work there, the bartenders, the waitstaff... all are kind and thoughtful people. This is the first place I entered upon arriving in Manitou Springs, during a sunshower. Mike waved me in for crab legs. I decided right then, I was going to live here. I've seen amazing bands there. Had a Berry Salad each and every time I enter this fine establishment. You must try one! Matt, the owner's son is a true gentleman and will treat you with the utmost respect. I admire he and his family. I love the regulars and always make a new friend there, whether local or tourist. Manitou may be changing, but the keg remains a constant, and upholds the traditions, with the police and fire badges and Charles Rocky art anointing the walls. You will absolutely love this place as much as I do... the specials and burgers rock too!!! Check em out when your in town... you'll be glad you did!

The berry salad is an award-winning salad. OMG SO GOOD!! Plus their buffalo burgers are mouth-watering delights. And my favorite: the Mustang Burger is a MUST HAVE when you go to The Keg.
The staff is amazingly friendly, too. Great food. Great staff. <3

Why hadn't I been here sooner?! I always heard that the food was amazing and it definitely was. I highly recommend the French dip! I'm craving it already and I was just there last night. The service was excellent! I wish I remembered my server's name.
