Was in Manchester for an appointment and did a Google Maps search for a lunch spot. Lots of really positive reviews about the restaurant, so figured how can I go wrong?
Arrive around 11:30AM, I was the only patron in the place. Tried to find a clean table… nope.
Menu looked decent and I asked for a recommendation - Chile Verde or Carnitas. Server said the Chile Verde is great and ‘a little spicy’. “Terrific!” I thought. Tortilla chips while waiting? No chance. Food was served promptly and it was, in a word ++AVERAGE++ and that’s being generous. Being raised in Southern California, I think I can judge with reasonable authority what true Mexican food is all about - and this might be great for Manchester, New Hampshire, but it’s so-so, at best.
Did my server ever come back to check on how the food is? Nope.

Great family restaurant with a number of regional traditional menu items. Verde sauce is bright and slightly picante. They have a burrito mojado which comes with a red sauce. Had the Torta with chili verde...everything is good here.

Real Mexican Food! Love this place and go as often as possible. Great service and delicious flavors. I grew up in South Texas and thrilled I can get the real deal in Manchester, NH.

I was hopeful for it raited high we ordered carne asada and moljalete and a spinach and cheese dip with corn tortillas. Everything we got was cold and the steak was hard looked like a pork steak had a bone in it like carne asada does not look like that or taste like that . I did not get my cheese and spinach dip and it was just the worst Mexican foodi ever ordered.When we got home i called the resteraunt to ask where the rest of the food was and they said the cheese was in the dish i ordered . I complained about the steak being hard and he didn't really care he said thats how they make it. We paid 50 dollars for a bunch of very bad Mexican jumbled up food and he made no attempt to fix it. I'll never order from there again and by the way I never gave a bad review but I never had an experience this bad.

Very authentic. Friendly owner. Delicious food and drinks! Definitely must try the tacos (carne asada!) Food is made with pride and care. Love Mexican food and have tried half a dozen in the Manchester area; El Tenampa is my personal favorite.
