Yeah, as far as sushi restaurants go this is about as bad as it gets. The service is non-existent. We waited for a table for 15 minutes when several were available. The server was unfriendly and unattentive. Worst of all, the food was sloppily presented and barely portioned. Clearly, this place doesn't give an iota about its customers. Go to any other sushi place in Marlboro, any, and you'll certainly have a better experience.

Have been a customer for years because I enjoyed their sushi. However as of recent the customer service is zero to none. I called to place and order and was told a time and that was all. When I show up to pick up the food the woman at the cashier asked me for an order number, which I explained I was not provided an order number. The woman, who I find out later is the manger, completely ignored me and said “everyone gets order number”. And then proceeded to help other customers. So I waited until everyone was done and told her my phone number (which I had done in the past which wasn’t a problem) and she said it’s too busy for phone number. I told her again I did not receive an order number and she laughed and said “everyone does but okay”. Then has the audacity to ask me to tip. I gave my tip directly to the cooks because they are polite and work hard. Will not be going back.

I had expected better from a restaurant that had high reviews and has been open for many years. After being seated in the side room and placing our orders, the other tables were then filled with new customers. After waiting an hour, we still had not gotten our 5 sushi rolls. All of the other tables had gotten their first and some second courses, which also included sushi rolls. I do not understand how a table that was seated after us was able to get their sushi first. At one hour and twenty minutes, we asked for our order to go as it had taken too long to receive and we had other plans to get to. At an hour and a half, the sushi rolls were finally boxed and ready for us. At the same time the waitress brought the check to one of the other tables. All of the other sushi restaurants in the area have never had an issue getting food in a timely manner. I am not sure why it took so long to get out food, but waiting over an hour is unacceptable for any restaurant.

The sushi was delicious and the price reflects both the taste and the amount of fish you got in your rolls. Each bite was a mouthful of goodness and it was complemented by not having so much rice like other places. Worth the price. However, there was only one or two servers at any given time even though the restaurant was filling up quick and practically full by the time we left. It took a while for our orders to arrive; you can watch the sushi being made so it's not as if they are slow preparing the meals, there was just a lot of people and a lot of orders. It takes time to make 4+ rolls per table. They were on their A-game refilling our waters without us having to ask, but about halfway through our time there our glasses were empty and the server stopped carrying around the water pitcher. Not a deal breaker since you can always flag down a server and ask for water, but the luxury of not having to ask was diminished by the time we actually started eating. This is a great place if you don't mind waiting a while between ordering and eating.

(4.5 to me) One of my favorite sushi spots that is always fresh and on point! So many great appetizers to choose from. The nutty tuna app and grilled squid is SO GOOD! Before u order too many rolls wait to see the size because the rolls are pretty big and filling! The only reason for my 4.5 rating is that lately the service has been very slow and they seem short staffed and very busy. The inside could also use an update. The booths are not that comfortable. Other than that we love it here!
