Overall the food was excellent! I would highly recommend eating here and most of the menu looks amazing, however there were a few unpleasant moments. First, the bread wasn’t all that good. Second, the server didn’t seem very sincere and was a bit too much to our pleasing, and at the end he basically kicked us out because he wanted our table and was sorta rude about it even after we just had a three course meal! Also the wine list is overpriced, but the choices are very good, they just marked up too much in my opinion

Excellent fine dining experience. Very cozy and intimate setting. The plating of their food is good enough reason to come in. Excellent staff. The duck and salmon were amazing. The macadamia nut vanilla ice cream for dessert really hit the spot.

This is by far the the best restaurant in Mammoth. Extremely friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. Ian is an expert and talented Chief. You will never be disappointed in the food or staff. My husband and I are regulars there. We highly recommend Skadi Restaurant.

Wow!! Skadi is everything you expect from a fine dining establishment nestled in the heart of a not so sleepy ski town. The blend of flavors curated by Chef Ian couldn’t be any more on point. Limited menu selection and extremely limited seating makes for an amazing dining experience. Excellent beer and wine list to pair with every dish or to enjoy on their own. Skadi was able to accommodate my last minute reservation request and I got to sit at the chefs diner where I got a great view of every meal being prepared for the restaurant. Recommend making your reservation a week in advance. Intimate yet inviting, you will enter another world when you walk through the door. “Treat yo self” to Skadi and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

The best dinner I’ve had in Mammoth, and I live here. Really delicious food, amazing dessert, fantastic service, beautifully presented, everything was made perfectly. Had the gallantine of pheasant, duck and goose, crispy skin salmon, and the chocolate sampler dessert. All amazing! Really enjoyed the salmon, very tender and buttery. Will definitely be coming back here and recommend it to anyone.

Incredible food, friendly service and very high quality execution. The decor of the restaurant is very appropriate for the environment but the food exceeded our expectations. Halfway through our meal there we booked another reservation just 2 days later. Definitely the highlight of our trip to Mammoth.

Really enjoyed my dinig experience at Skadi. Located near the village, from the outside the restaurant looks like a warehouse but inside they've done a great job of making it feel unique and comfortable.
The food is focused on unique Norwegian and Scandinavian influences. Everything was well prepared, service was excellent. Prices were very moderate for the quality.
Overall a great experience. Best to book reservations in advance. Onsite parking available.

Fantastic food and selection - who knew Mammoth could kick out such fine cuisine - an absolute must is you are foodie - got to get the smoked deer heart - quite tasty.
Given the average dining selections up there - you should try it - Mammoth doesn’t have many great food choices but this place would do well in any posh resort like Aspen or Vail.

Skadi is our favorite restaurant in Mammoth. We love sitting at the counter overlooking the kitchen and talking to the chef/owner Ian. The food is great and the waitstaff is very friendly. We would highly recommend this restaurant to all.

What a surprise to find this gem. Not only was the food out of this world but the staff was knowledgeable, friendly and on top of every detail. We will be coming back. My husband had the venison and I chose the scallops. Best scallops that I’ve ever had. He said the same about his meal.

So glad we finally made it to this amazing place. I can't get over how delicious the scallops were. Best I have ever had. They were cooked perfect: not too much. The mushroom crepe was out of this world, very tasty. The creme brûlée was unmatched, with a perfect crust.

First time we ate there it was great cuisine and Ian is an outstanding chef. The venison sausage was the best I've ever had. The scalps were cooked just right. You can't leave there without trying the desserts the chocolate especially was outstanding.
