Review Emone Tofu - Malden

We came at an off peak time, late lunch, early dinner so there was no wait. We were loud and had an infant with us and the server was very accommodating and understanding. The food was very good portions to share. There were 4 of us and we had leftovers. We got the seafood Tofu soup and it came out bubbling hot. If you want to put the egg in there, you have to crack it in right when the soup comes out if you want the egg to cook. There are different spicy levels for the soup - we went with medium spicy and that was good enough where you can taste the flavors in the soup along with a slight kick. The noodles were very flavorful and very large portion.

We ordered a vegetarian tofu soup and kimchi oyster tofu soup. The tofu soups we thought tasted really good, but the side dishes were pretty tasteless. The rice was fine, it wasn't undercooked or overcooked. The tteokbokki with cheese and ramen was good, but it wasn't anything special. There was no music playing so it felt really awkward. There was only one guy out front doing all the work. Despite being so busy, he took the time to ask how our food was. The tables were awkwardly very large, and there could have been much more work done to improve the interior design of the place. The food was okay but not sure if I'd come back.

The WORST Korean restaurant I’ve ever visited. The pork belly is basically pieces of fat, and very thick. The taste of other dishes is also mediocre, however the price is quite high, the pork belly is $24.99.

Terrible. Soup was very watered down, the mushroom soup tastes like straight up soaking water for the mushrooms (probably because they didn’t actually soak and wash the mushrooms). Worst of all, there was a piece of plastic in my soup and it cut my mouth!! I would give negative if I could. Avoid for your own safety.

So heartbreaking. The Korean owner had sold this restaurant. The food is not good as the old time. The recipes have changed. The chefs have changed. I came to this restaurant at least once a week before COVID happened. The owner and the Korean waitress knew me. I’m so sad the restaurant is not the same one.

Decent Korean food. I ordered the combo tofu soup with beef and rice combo, and it was delicious. Tried the pork and it was ok. Staffs were attentive and kind. There’s few other items on menu I’ll be interested in trying so would definitely come back.

Delicious Korean food and great service. We really enjoyed the combo dishes of tofu soup and an entree. Our food came out within 10 minutes of us ordering. This restaurant was what Malden was missing. Definitely will be coming back here.

Emone Tofu is one of the best Korean BBQ restaurants I’ve ever been too. They specialize in their tofu soups. Whenever we go with a large group of friends, everyone gets the combo which includes a Korean BBQ meat and a tofu soup. The table all shares the meats and everyone gets an individual tofu soup. All the meats are amazing but the spicy pork is a must have! Also the wait staff is very friendly and you can tell this is a home cooked experience. We love going to Emone Tofu!
