Review One Pot - Malden

Everybody has to try their Mala Fish with rice. I love it! Almost my favorite dish to order when I feel tired and have to be cured by delicious food.

We were here for their bamboo rice set! I ordered bamboo rice with mushroom and chicken. It was enough to share with two people! Rice was okay but don’t expect to taste bamboo flavor within! The place was very tiny, you need to pay attention if you wanna come here during peak time!

Delicious authentic Chinese (and American Chinese) and Taiwanese fare! Located close by in Malden they've got a great little spot with kind and attentive service. Had a spicy beef noodle soup, milk tea with boba (perfect, not too sweet) and a matcha green tea yogurt cake slice. Looks like cheesecake but delicious and light to end a lunch with a friend. Highly recommend!

I’m originally coming from Guangxi China. Their food is just OK. It gets the hint of my hometown favor but you can still taste the gap. Not recommend their barbecue, you cannot taste the crust and there is no smoky favor.

Gotta give 5 stars here !! Definitely not lacking flavor and if your looking for spicy here's where it's at. Authentic cooking . The spicy lamb was great. You dont get much but what you get is excellent. Hats off to 1 pot !! Great flavor in the food.. well deserved of 5 stars.

We expect this place is more an authentic Chinese food place but it is a bit different from what we think. The food presentation is good but is definitely overpriced. In addition, they force us to give >18% tips. The food is very salty btw. I won’t recommend this place.

I Used to go to this place often before covid. Today went again. This time Food is fair, but the bill was given with a calculated total said included 15% tip. Later we found it included forced tip which calculated to be 21%. Talked to the server to fix and she said it's only a few quarters difference (not true). Doesn't seem to be much dine-in customer, so the staff might do this for more cash tip. We are normally decent on tip, but we don't like forcing tip thing.. Ended up let it go, but will not go back.

I grew up in LiuZhou/Guilin, so I was super pumped for the Luosifen, which is a local specialty I haven't been able to find authentic versions of in Boston. Visually, the dish seemed like it was going to deliver to my expectations. However, there were so many rookie mistakes and lack of attention to detail in this dish that it made me truly sad. 1)花生没炒熟、2)黄豆没爆香、3)螺丝没有吐泥,很多沙土。The unripe peanuts and the badly prepared escargot really disappointed. In the past I've also gotten the 凉拌木耳 (woodear appetizer)、松鼠鱼 (fried fish)、and various grilled skewers. Everything was mediocre - either too greasy or flavor was not great. There are so many regional specialties it must be hard to be good at them all. I really want this place to be good at SOMETHING and maybe I haven't "hit" the place the chef actually specializes in? So far pretty disappointing.
