We like El Picante. Probably the best standard Americanized Mexican within 30 miles of Maineville. I got the Pollo San Jose this time. It was delicious and well seasoned. The chicken breast wasn't dry and was well seasoned. The shrimp had the perfect texture not over cooked. The "special sauce" is a chipotle sauce mixed with cheese sauce. It's not hot. If you like a little more heat I recommend the tapatio hot sauce that's on the table. Very well flavored.

Nice place, cute decor, friendly atmosphere. Had the chimichanga and arrox con pollo. Chimi was great. Arroz was good, but wish it had been grilled chicken. Would recommend.

Great service. Delicious food. We went during a busy time and still had a great experience. Don't order the quesadilla and expect cheese on it, not very good 👎. But the shrimp platter with shrimp, scallops and cheese sauce is excellent without the rancho sauce. The chips and salsa were terrible this time. 😫 They said they hired a new guy still learning how to make it.
