This place is absolutely incredible. I was blown away by both the service and the food. Everything was farm to table and you could tell just by tasting it. My girlfriend and I talked with the owner, head chef, and head baker and the passion they have for food shows in spades. Seasonally changing menu along with custom cocktails at a price that is very reasonable. Best French onion soup I've ever had. Just don't go in hoping for things that are out of season!
First visit here and left with good impressions, good food, good atmosphere! Refreshing upgrade from most "Mahopac" dining experiences! Will be back to sample more of the menu. Head chef/owner has a very outward personality and lots of energy, this translates to the staff too as service was wonderful, attentive but not overbearing. Had Scallops for main meal and they were cooked perfectly, appetizers were awesome, pizza too! Kudos!
Wow! Extraordinary dining experience. Farm to table food in cozy location. Delicious, delicious, delicious. And everyone from the chef/owner to sous chef to hostess comes over and checks on everything. One of our new favorites. You must go
Absolutely astonishing food. The price is a little high, but to be perfectly honest, it doesn't matter. You can just tell that heart goes into each plate, from the appetizer all the way to the dessert. I had the cheddar sticks as an appetizer, which came with a peach compote - this blew me away on how unique and how full of flavor it was. As for the main course the Carrot Gnocchi Carbonara was also phenomenal. To finish off the night I decided to go with the freshly (still warm and gooey) baked cookies and ice cream, needless to say I was stuffed and overly satisfied in the end. The location is perfect for outdoor seating in warm temperatures as well. Unfortunately when I had went they hadn't received their liquor license, however I've heard through some friends that they have changed that, making it a necessary repeat spot. Don't listen to these 1 star reviewers who have only come here to tarnish a small business owner trying to build a brand, considering they've only left one review (which is about this particular restaurant). These are the types of places that are truly trying to bring an artistic and unique perspective to your taste buds, to which Nick's Plate his fully succeeded.
The food was all excellent and the chef/owner Nick very personable. Great for families as our kids were never considered a bother. They are also great with adaptations for food preferences and allergies.
Food is delicious! Unique and tasty personal pizzas, delicious soup and salads. The young chef is terrific and I think this place will be around for awhile. A breath of fresh air. (Been there twice, by the way...both times great!)

What a blast we had last night at Nicks Plate, the food was wonderful, Nick is so sweet he goes around to all the tables to check to see if you are pleased. We happen to know one of the chefs, her name is Danielle. I ordered one of her signature dishes of champagne chicken, it was fabulous. If you have a chance, go!!!!
