I don't usually post reviews, but this place is the exception. I love this place! The bartenders here are awesome, the servers are equally awesome. Everyone is so nice, I've never had a bad experience here. All I can say is, if you are looking for a fun casual spot, take the chance and let this be it! The entertainment is always awesome, I might be a little bias but I love karaoke night. Just an all around fun place to be, no matter what night you come here. Great staff, and great drinks.

Salty dogs is the best bar in Maggie Valley. There food may take a moment but its always wonderful. Anything from raw oysters to tuna sashimi can be found on their menu. Also, the kitchen is open until 11! Great food, great drinks!!

Truth is once you get to know these people, the food, the drinks and the ambiance is down to earth family. Love the place wish we could come more often. We have had most of our best times in Maggie right here. Love you bro, Nicki we're always here and thinking about ya'll. See you soon.

My kid and I dropped in to order takeout. We sat unnoticed for about 10 min before I finally got up and went to the bar asking for service. Once noticed, we were able to place our order for take out. We both opted for the Grilled shrimp. My kid chose fries and mac n cheese for her sides. I chose the green beans and baked potato. The grilled shrimp had a nice solid coating of butter, they were cooked perfectly. However, we both joked that non of our food was salty enough for a place called "Salty Dogs". So we did have to season ourselves. The green beans had small bits of bacon, again not salty, rather bland on their own. My baked potato was soft and delicious. My kid ate their fries over their mac n cheese. So I can't attest for that. We did try calling in for a takeout order, but never did get through. It would seem an online ordering system would be a good investment for this place. 👍

The food was excellent! Unfortunately, bacon was in the black eye peas, and my potato was loaded with bacon when I only asked for cheese. Otherwise, everything was delicious

June 2022. Tired & hungry we stumbled on Salty's on our way back to our lodgings & we're so glad we did! The recommended drinks were awesome & the food we picked, pecan crusted trout, chicken & Hush Puppies & Broiled fish was heavenly! (We'd never had Hush Puppies before & we loved them)! But, far better than the food & the drinks was the incredibly warm welcome that we received from both the staff & the locals. This meant so much to 4 tired travellers I would like the thank you all warmly from your British guest Tuesday night! Just when we thought it couldn't get any better the two guys playing Country music started up & were brilliant, rounding the evening off perfectly! Thank you all, to all at the Salty Dogs. Ian, Anne, Sandra & Malc.

One of the few places in town that didn't have a half hour plus wait. But it turned out great, the grouper was delicious. Drinks were reasonable priced. Overall great experience. We'll go again!

Enjoyable staff, great service and drinks with full bar. Nice variety on the menu without being to cluttered. Fireside dining at reasonable prices. Will return next time we're in Maggie Valley.

Great vibe. Mellow as hell. For a bar, this place has surprisingly good food. I really enjoyed my experience here. We'll be back for sure. Our new fav in Maggie Valley.

Came here on a Friday night for a meal with our biker friends. Our server was on her fourth day and did great! We got the hand smashed burger, Chicken salad and wings. Food was good, not amaOng, but good. Live music was nice and they have a couple games and jukebox as well.

Great little seafood place. I liked that it wasn’t touristy. The waitstaff was exceptional considering that there were 9 of us in our party. No missed orders and everything came out hot with the exception of the chili which the server took right back and heated up.

Passing trough on the bikes and needed a bite to eat after having a depressing meal the night before at the casino. Ordered all different kinds of fish and everything came out warm, perfectly cooked and seasoned. The blackened season was perfectly done.

I’m so glad the negative reviews didn’t stop us from going to this place! The staff was friendly and personable! Its a casual cozy bar/restaurant atmosphere, with a fireplace to warm guests up. They had a GREAT local beer selection. My fried clams were the best I’ve had in a LONG time, nice and crunchy and flavorful. Everyone loved the creamy Mac and cheese!

Laid back comfortable atmosphere with fast and friendly server's. The menu has many choices and all are good choices. I had the mountain trout with their fresh cut fries and freshly made cole slaw. The trout covered the entire dish and was delicious. Loved the fries and cole slaw. Also had the coconut shrimp as an appetizer. I regretted that after seeing the size if the trout....lol. Jennifer was my server and she was friendly and courteous and checked on me several times and made good recommendations for me to try. Restaurant was clean and lots of nostalgic hanging up throughout the restaurant.

Classic "dive bar" with a family feel to the atmosphere. Bikers are very frequent. Beer and wine (they might have liquor but I'm not sure). Best seafood in the area, mostly fried. Great wings and appetizers too. Everyone is welcome here!
