We almost left because it was taking so long for initial contact with the waitress. Then again after we ordered it took an abnormally long time for the food to come out, but I'm glad we stayed because the food was really good. I'm on a limited diet so I always get meat and beans. They were on the salty side vs flavor. My husband's was amazing. The sauce on top was really flavorful and not spicy. A side of rice and beans came with it. The chips were also really good and just enough salt. Cute place if you eat outside, but you are right next to the road.

Rio is a wonderful little restaurant. We sat at their outdoor patio and enjoyed fantastic food, excellent service and enjoyed watching the sunset. We ordered the guacamole appetizer and were amazed to learn that they make right at your table. They have all the fresh ingredients ready to add to some great looking avocados. The presentation was awesome and the guac tasted as good as it looked! Their chips are to die for! They are fresh, crispy and are made for dipping into their homemade salsa. After all the chips, salsa and guacamole I thought I’d have a hard time eating my meal. When my fish tacos were brought out, once again I was impressed with the presentation. The breaded fish was cooked to perfection and the sauce and garnish really complemented the flavor. The rice and beans are served on a separate plate, which I appreciated, so none of them interfered with the tacos. They were equally as tasty as the rest of the food. If you are in the mood for some fantastic Mexican food then I suggest you stop at Rio and enjoy some. Oh, we also met the owner who made time to come out and check on each table to make sure everyone was happy and enjoying themselves. This is a great restaurant and we will definitely be back again and again. 👍🏻

So rio in madras. No big deal a couple years ago. Wow, wow, 🤩 wow!! Steak is so huge. Authentic beans and rice and the sauce on the chunks isof onion and peppers is not limey but creamy! Yum! We are foodies! We have family and we make ourselves and have visited every restaurant in central Oregon. My Cadillac margarita was muddled with oranges and lime… just incredible! Hands down! Best Mexican restaurant! We aren’t the type to run around leaving reviews so this was a big deal! The service is impeccable! Just so friendly and genuine although they are so swamped.

This is one of our stops whenever possible while in Madras. This time we also had the guac made at our table, and it was amazing. Their margaritas are kickin, too, I love the Senorita del Rio - so flavourful, smooth, and on the sweeter side.

Fabulous food- made fresh on order. Unique flavors. Great service and generous portions. We come often and will be back for more!! I loved the Flor de Calabaza soup! (Zucchini flower, yellow squash & rosemary soup) incredible!
