Papa Johns Pizza

It took exactly one minute short of 3 hours and 30 minutes to get our pizza delivered. Neither my wife or myself had tried papa Johns for years, so we figure why not? Well, we found out 😂 We get pizza all the time, but we’re by no means picky…we’ll get pizza from nice, local type places, but we’re also fine with dominoes, and we eat frozen pizza all the time. My wife is also 7 1/2 months pregnant…so to say the least, she was not happy. She had a frozen pizza right around the one hour and 30 minute mark. I held firm, and only had one piece of her pizza. When the pizza finally got here it was cold, bland and boring. The piece of her Freschetta frozen pizza was much better (I’m not just saying this because I’m bitter…it really was.) The manager I spoke with at the 1 hour 30 mark blamed it on door dash, but after that conversation it literally took them and their own driver almost exactly 2 hours to get us the pizza. Do yourself a favor…pass on Papa Johns. That is a message that I will certainly be passing around.

The website wouldn't let me pay for a carryout order with cash, so I called them. I'm pretty sure they route all calls to a central hub, because I could barely understand the person on the phone and she asked what restaurant I was picking up from. Turns out they only accept card payments. Also, they may be open until 11 p.m. but you can't carry out after 9:40. If you're going to make it that difficult to order a pizza, I'll just go somewhere else.

Food was good, all our order was there, the issue was with the delivery. We ordered online, an hour and 20 minutes later, I give them a call just to see what the ETA is. I'm told that the order was marked as completed 30 minutes prior to my call. I go check outside my apartment door, no food. I go check outside the building and my food is sitting out there in the cold. There was no text or call. They didn't even buzz my apartment from outside the building! We ended up having to microwave portions of our order because it was cold from sitting out for so long.

The do not get your order right and there is always a lady you cannot understand over the phone People don't like giving free money for you guys to forget items! You get a one out of five for bad service. Besides leaving your food outside the front entrance of the apartment complex for someone to make off with your food is terrible business.
