Great Italian since 1968. If it has been around for that long, you know it is good. I highly recommend the "Porta" said, great combination of toppings.

We had a great time. The atmosphere was amazing and very clean, which is the main reason I would go back here. The staff was great and seemed really enthusiastic to be there. The was good, which is the reason for the 4 stars. For the price you are paying, I expected more. The big thing was the cheesecake, it was clearly recently frozen. The raspberry glaze was still frozen and felt like biting into an Icee when your teeth hit it.

My wife's gorgonzola, mushroom, and beef was delicious! My short rib ravioli was good, but the kitchen apparently didn't have the Marsala cream sauce and wouldn't just say so. It first came with tomato sauce, which, when she finally returned, the waitress said was an option, but neither she nor the menu had given that option. She offered to bring the Marsala sauce, but instead the ravioli came with a thick cream sauce with pesto swirls. It tasted fine, but still not what I had ordered. The waitress was nice, but missed a number of basic things. I'm hoping it was just inexperience.

My, son, and I were a bit disappointed. While the service and main dish was really good, it was the little things that made us disappointed. The menu said that the meal was supposed to come with brioche bread and olive oil dipping. In reality it didn't come with any bread. When we asked our waitress about bread she said they needed to update the menu, but would bring us some bread and "spiced oil". Well the bread turned out to, what seemed to be old, dried out rolls and the spiced oil had no taste.

Wonderful old world atmosphere and some very impressive trees in the court yard, but disappointing dinner. Porta salad should be called meat lovers salad. A smidge of greens with loads of cheese and meat. I could not find a snipped of spinach in my manicotti as the menu described. Bread served as sticks was greasy, salty and spongy. Great tiramisu for dessert. You are paying for a nice environment and a lovely wait staff.

I used to love going here. The food was always delicious and it has a very nice atmosphere. However, at some point a few years ago things changed with the food. Not sure if it's a new chef, but the cooking is terrible. My chicken Alfredo barely had any flavor, as if they never used seasoning. The stuffed manicotti that came with it was disappointing. The "Italian sausage" that it was stuffed with was just ground pork, and not even fully cooked either. No seasoning was used in the Italian sausage so there was no flavor to it. My partners dish was bland and both of our pasta noodles were mushy, not al dente. My partner even had food poisoning afterwards, despite having very little of the food.
As much as I loved Porta Bella's, I can't recommend it to anyone. Matter of fact I'm recommending people to stay away. The food isn't worth the price.

One of my favorite Italian restaurants. I love the porta salad with buttermilk ranch. The ambiance is dark and intimate. Staff is usually top notch; we had a newbie last time, but he was ok.

My box of left overs got thrown away, I paid $25 for a salad, I had a great dinner with my dad for his birthday, I had accidentally left my box of left overs at the table but while I was taking a picture with my dad in front of the place and I realized I forgot my food, not gone longer than 5 minutes, but because it was past closing time and I’m sure the college students of waiters were ready to get out of there fast, I lost my take home food, super disappointing because my left overs could’ve been a whole two more dinners for me, I had full intention of taking it home because I asked for a box immediately when I got my food. Like I said super disappointing
