Review Great Hall - Madison

One review just is not enough to fully explain my frustration and disgust with this apartment. It has been issue after issue. When I moved in, the base trim around the entire unit was peeling off the walls and I requested it be fixed and it has now been over month. I am finally getting around to cleaning areas of the apartment that I missed when I initially moved in. I went to clean the freezer and it was absolutely repulsive. food, crumbs, mold, you name it, it was there. Under the dishwasher I found actual dollar coin sized pieces of food and debris. Management never answers the phone in the office in the building and fairly often no one is there during their normal business hours. However, I will say they are fairly quick to respond to emails. Additionally, I cleaned out the garbage disposal after moving in and it took an entire roll if paper towels for it to finally come out clean. The mold and food particles had to have been an inch thick. There is also no exhaust fan in the bathroom so there is now a growing amount of mold above the shower, and management is not particularly motivated to treat it as it has been over a week since I made them aware. In my last apartment, maintenance requests were taken care of within 48 hours, even if they requests were trivial and not emergent. After much back and forth, the ceiling was finally tested for asbestos and the tests results were negative thankfully. I just cannot wait to move out of this terrible apartment and I suggest you NEVER live here.

I moved in literally 3 days ago and I already hate this place. Upon move in, the unit was filthy, it was clearly not cleaned in the slightest, there was visible dirt, food crumbs, dust, etc. Additionally, the bathroom sink was leaking, the toilet runs randomly, the based trim was peeling off the walls, the paint on the ceiling (which looks like it is infested with asbestos) is peeling off and crumbling, there is a crack in one of the bedroom windows, and the mini blinds are broken. The so called "free internet" is extremely slow and unreliable, I can't even load my email let alone stream Netflix. Management has sucked since day 1, the people in the office (which is located in the building) NEVER answer the phone, and I had to leave a message for the 24 hour EMERGENCY maintenance number which said I would receive a call back in 24 hours. The only good things I have to say about this apartment are its location relative to campus (being above a bar, it is very loud however) and they recently got new washing machines which is nice. Other than that I have had nothing but problems living here and it has been 3 days. DO NOT LIVE HERE! You will regret it.

Erik and Veronica are definitely greatest staffs I have ever met. Not only they are very friendly but also very helpful. When I was in New York there was severe water leaking issue since I thought leaving windows open to circulate air was a good idea, totally ignored the brutal coldness in Madison can cause water bursting. All they asked was whether I have renter insurance or not, i said no, they then took care of all the hassles. Due to some miscommunication, one month I was late for the payment, and they refunded the late fee along with the full security deposit back to me when the lease ended. So 5 star, if you like the idea of efficiency/studio check this place out

Living at Langdon Hall has been a dream come true. The friendly management staff aka Veronica and Brian are superstars and are always happy to help. I have never had a bad day living at Langdon Hall, what with the great location and all they do to work with their residents. This building is time tested and an excellent place to live, I will truly miss my time here.

Lived here Spring of 2018 and enjoyed it. Bus stop right outside the building (#80) very close to Fresh Market, State, and Libraries. Management was quick when responding to maintenance requests and very friendly. Tad bit Pricey, but worth it.

Lived here for about a year now. Everything is so close and convenient. Management did their bestwith any concerns that I had and was very friendly and helpful. Well worth the price as most amenities are included.

Managers are bad. Always going in your apartment when you aren't home.
