I have been visiting Cracker Barrel restaurants for many years. Our meal today was still their usual good home style eating. The last several times we have visited we have NOT enjoyed the "in your face" declarations that we should purchase alcoholic beverages. I think that is a new profit center,
You pretty much know what you are going to get at Cracker Barrel. There is an old timey store filled with interesting items and treats, along with the restaurant usually featuring a country style chicken dinner.
Unfortunately our waitress was having a very bad day & forgot to put our order in. She apologized put a rush on it & comped our coffee. When our order arrived mine was chicken instead of beef & one egg instead of two. After 45 minutes, I wasn’t about to send it back & wait longer. It was very tasty.
Worse meal of my life. I felt like I was eating left overs. And the bacon crumbles were burnt. The fact that the server didn’t care to take this to my table was even more insulting. Will not be coming back. Even more I hope I don’t get sick with the part of the meal I ingested
We promised ourselves that we would go to a Cracker Barrel on our trip. This was one of the farthest north locations on our path and it was a little quieter than we expected at lunchtime. But that shouldn't have given pause. This location was great.
