Review Urban Fire - Madison

Amoi H.
I attended a tasting event here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was terrific. I'd go back just for the hot honey! It was great on all the pizza flavors we tried but it was especially good on the blanco slice. And the zeppoles with Nutella were the best I've ever had!

This place has a very simple, industrial look. You order at the counter and Pizza is made on order. The style is typically Neapolitan. Thin crust, high temperature oven. Excellent Marinara (no cheese) and margherita.

Great local spot. Owner was super excited about his business and pleasing his customers. The pizza was great, too.

Personal sized wood fired pizzas. Delicious, lots of toppings white or red pies.

Incredible pizza. Proper oven makes all the difference. Really enjoyed the variety of toppings.

Neat place! First time there and the owner told us about the menu. Everyone is so nice. And the prosciutto is amazing!

This pizza restaurant had a delicious crust, and might have been the first time that I'd ever eaten more than 3 slices if pizza. However, I gave this restaurant 4 stars because of the drink options. They had machine where you could pick your own drink(they must've had 100 options) which I thought was really cool. Unfortunately, almost all if the drinks were unavailable, and instead of trying a new drink I had water. I would definitely recommend this place, as long as they refill the machine.

The place has a great ambiance, the owner Anthony is super friendly, and the entire staff is very attentive and friendly as well. A perfect example of how a business should be run. We tried a few things, but the pizza is obviously why we came here. By far the best pizza in the area. I've been to so many pizza restaurants...local, NYC, Brooklyn, Italy, Balkans..this pizza is definitely top 3. I would recommend trying a pizza with prosciutto, olives and mushrooms.

EXCELLENT WOOD OVEN PIZZA!!! Thin, crispy and fresh toppings all come together to bring that wood oven flavor out. Service is fast and staff are friendly and hard working. The location is very clean and has a rustic modern feel to it. And it’s a family owned restaurant, which is always a plus. Sit down or take it to go, it’s all good! ~Side note, I’ve been in the pizza business all my life, so I know a good pizzeria when I see one. You won’t be disappointed here. Feels good to find excellent pizza away from home.

I like Urban Fire but I'm not ecstatic about it. You really have to like this style (Neapolitan) of pizza too love Urban Fire. I will say I love the service, and the restaurant itself is always a great experience. The decor has a nice industrial and reclaimed wood look. So if you're looking for a more authentic Italian pizza, Urban Fire is a great place to go. As for me, I will continue to visit when I'm in just the right mood.

This place has great pizza, the dough is thin, crispy AND chewy. A cheese pizza is only six bucks but if you go with toppings, you may find yourself with a prosciutto, rock shrimp, sausage, egg and truffle butter pizza for $15. Still delicious, but they got you.

Man such an awesome atmosphere. The owner is so cool and really good to talk to and listen to. The pizza is delicious and I would go there again. I’m from south jersey but would definitely come up here for some delicious pizza and good service.

Urban Fire is a family-owned yet quick service pizza restaurant where your pizza is ready for you in less than two minutes. You can either choose from the menu options or design your own creation. With plenty of unique choices and toppings, you really can't go wrong either way. The ingredients are fresh and the pizza truly feel gourmet, such a treat!

Urban fire is serving the best pizza in the area, hands down. Their pies start with a light and airy, but still substantial crust with just the right amount of wood flavor from the oven. From there you can get a pie of their design or create your own from a long list of toppings that includes the traditional (caramelized onions), innovative (hot honey), and luxurious (pancetta). They also offer the best rice balls I've ever had - Grandma, if you can hear me up there, please forgive me for saying that, but it's true! The ownership, who is local to the area, has created a homey but sophisticated atmosphere that is family friendly. They even have a full changing table and waste bag dispenser in the restroom. The restaurants walls are full of old family pictures. And to top it off, it's BYOB and there's lot parking. Give Urban fire a try and you won't want to eat any other pizza again.

Urban Fire is an amazing little place with big taste. Their "build your own" pizza's are fresh and delicious. The Tortufo was my favorite!! Anthony is a sweetheart and couldn't have been nicer!! The zeppoles dipped in Nutella was a great way to finish the night! Thanks for a great dinner!!!

A wonderful experience. The staff is accommodating and owner treats you like family. Did I mention the pizza ? As a pizza enthusiast I will tell you that they do not skimp on quality. They use the best ingredients and pizzas are cooked to perfection. Proud to be a repeat customer.

So ma.ny choices! Delicious ingredients. Each pie is made just for you but didn't take long before it was ready. I would highly recommend Urban Fire for lunch or dinner. A real step up from the ordinary

Porchetta sandwich was delish. Margherita pie was light, airy, and packed with flavor. Added a bit of the hot honey and all of the flavors came together nicely. The owner is a great guy too. Straight out of Brooklyn.

I stepped out of my pizza comfort zone and tried this place one day...needless to say I'm hooked. The portions are more than plenty, the food is fresh and delicious, with unique flavors you won't find anywhere else. Definitely give it a try.

Amazing! Best pizza in all of New Jersey! Try the tartufo pizza! It's a must! Everyone needs to go to this 6 star amazing restaurant with great owners. Anytime I'm by the short hills mall I go here.

Went to Urban Fire last night for supper -what a treat! We started with a few "middles" pallinis, rice balls and zeppolas (for the ride home-they never made it to the car..lol). We then ordered tartufo, the molta carne and diavolo-personal pizzas. The tartufo was rich but not heavy; the molta carne was spicy but not overwhelming and the diavolo was just delicious. After we ordered, we noticed the porchetta and asked about it- we were offered a taste- it was heaven on earth... The staff was friendly, attentive and helpful. The prices were great. Urban Fire is my new favorite place - will be there often! Anthony and Uncle Jerry are wonderful. :)

The food is really good here! I usually get a margherita pizza with a rocket salad. They use simple ingredients and everything is so fresh. The decor is great and the people who work here are really nice. I highly recommend Urban Fire

My husband and I were fortunate enough to be invited to Urban Fire by friends this past weekend and after an almost 2 hour drive were kind of tired of fighting NJ traffic and hungry. Once inside the door, we found UF was what we consider the most authentic Italian street food this side of the Atlantic. For example: Pizza - One bite and we were transported to a pizzeria in Naples, Italy. Porchetta - This panini should be against the law, it is so good. Freshly made roast pork, Italian style, on fresh ciabatta roll. Mmmm. Italian roast beef sandwiches - Melt in your mouth good. Rice balls and meat balls - All home made on premises with mouth watering results. This is not a veal parm with spaghetti on the side kind of place. It is, however, a place that we feel was sorely needed here in the States. When you can get good food that will feed you and your kids for dinner, or provide you with a delicious inexpensive lunch, Urban Fire is THAT place to go to. We don't make thes statements lightly as we are of Italian parentage and have traveled to Italy extensively both touring and visiting relatives. We never ate in "TOURIST TRAPS" but made an effort to seek out small local restaurants and pizzerias to get the true flavors of the country. We also have been fortunate enough to have had handed down to us the old school recipes and have dined with relatives in Italy and know what real "ITALIAN" tastes like. UF, God bless and good luck in your endeavors.
