The best pasties in Mackinaw City! There's almost always a wait during peak times so plan accordingly. You can buy hot pasties or frozen to take home and bake later. We got the traditional beef pastie meal with coleslaw and a cookie. Everything was fantastic. There's a small sitting area in the restaurant or you can take your food to go. We went to a nearby park to eat.

Excellent food, fresh, hot, and delicious.
We came back for seconds. Pastry was light but tasty. Not to thick that it makes the Pastie. The Gravy was flavorful but not to heavy or over spiced.
We will be returning.
CoVid friendly, clean, and seating area was welcoming.
Restrooms were clean and cared for.

Delicious Pasties and yummy cookies. We stopped in and got was ready in less than 5 minutes, we ate at the picnic tables in the back. Ordered Beef pasties with gravy, and kids cheese ravioli.

We found this place on our color tour and return each chance we get to buy their pasties. They are the best. It was lined up to order pasties but the line moved quickly. The restaurant is very small but you can eat there or buy frozen pasties to go. We buy a hot meal to go and buy several frozen to enjoy later. Their breakfast pasties are so good as well as their stroganoff, chicken, traditional beef and veggies and cheese. Highly recommend.

Great pasties! Like pasties I have always had. Diced potatoes and carrots, beef or chicken, with chicken gravy for the chicken pasties and beef gravy for the beef pasties the way we like em'!

If you are longing for the real deal these pasties are it. We love the beef pasties but didn't really care for the gravy. Great for a quick meal and since the restaurant across the street doesn't do take out this place provides the solution for ones on the go.

Very good beef pasty with gravy and nice flaky crust. One was plenty to share! We also purchased some frozen pasties to bring home. This place has a cozy log cabin vibe and friendly employees.

Super fast and friendly service. Rustic "cabin like" interior which gives you the "up North" vibe. Pretty interesting pastie options, I went for the El Grande with taco sauce, cheese, and sour cream and it was really good! I also got a taste of my wife's classic pastie which is always a staple. Delicious pasties and do not suffer from the "bland and dry" effect that I feel like a lot of pasties fall down into.

Last stop for lunch on way out of Mackinaw. Had to try one, they were great! Kids said one of best meals we had all week. We tried the stroganoff, with gravy and sour cream. The cookies are the best too!

The food was really good. The pastie was hot but not dry and the filling was great. Everything was cooked nicely without being over cooked. The service was great and the employee was very friendly. It was clean. The cookies were delicious.

Very cool history of the Pastie and how it came to been. Nice selection of books from local authors. The pasties are hot and tasty. You can get gravey on the side or topped 3 different ways to meet you taste preference.
