I had a delicious kale, sweet plantain and white cheese empanada and the 3 cheesy cheeses. Oh my god, they were incredible! Two of these easily filled me up for a late lunch at the Long Valley Farmer's Market today. These are both vegetarian also, and they have three other veggie options as well. I am so excited that they have a retail cafe in Verona (I live close by in Montclair), so I will be going there for sure! Well done!

Omg.. so delicious.. My company has different trucks coming in every day and this one is by FAR the best. The Chipotle Chicken and Cheddar was so amazing I went out and got extras uncooked to bring home. Out of the park!

My husband and I finally made it to Empanada Lady in Verona and it was worth the wait! Everything was on point! The staff is wonderful too. Just wondering about the paper plates and forks...maybe to save time...but that won’t hold me back! See you soon! ��
The mini empanadas were the hit of our 4th of July cookout. Everyone gobbled them up so fast. The salsa dipping sauce adds the perfect kick. We love the Empinada Lady!

Had a pulled pork empanada, my wife had a chipotle chicken cheddar and cheese and my son had a chicken one and they were the best we ever had hope to see you pop around more so we can buy more! Wish you nothing but the best and can't wait to have more!!
Had the beef and the BBQ pulled pork empanadas at the Boonton Twp. 150th anniversary celebration. They were absolutely delicious! Hope to have them again soon!
The truck was at our office building today and I've just got to say, the empanadas were delicious. Crisp and light and loaded with filling. I can only hope that enough people went out to try them. I'd be very happy for a return trip someday.

The food is amazing. I had never had a empanada before and I got the beef one. I wasn't sure my kids would like it. My 9 & 6 year old absolutely loved them. We ended up buying so many to bring home for my husband and the kids and I. We tried pork, cheese, & chicken ones and we loved them all!! Top it off the lady who makes the food is supper nice!! Was intrigued when I saw the truck at the Nutley Farmer's Market this morning. Went with a beef and potato empanada and a spinach and feta empanada. The beef and potato was loaded with perfectly seasoned beef and potatoes in a golden crust that was flaky and not greasy. The spinach and feta was nothing short of amazing. Packed full of the perfect ratio of spinach to feta. The taste was so flavorful not bland like spinach can be. Will definitely follow this truck to try other types soon.
This woman is a Queen. She is sweet, funny and straight up gifted. She is at Soulsational Wellness and Music Festival every year and I swear it's one of the best parts about it... She lit me up when I saw her and is so generous... makes you feel like family. Her empanadas are FIRE!!! �
Enjoyed Chicken & Potato Empanadas & Beef Empanadas, along with yummy Sweet Plantains! My granddaughter suggested Take Out after I picked her up from Camp. Although, I didn't meet The 'Empanada Lady', I did meet the Empanada Sales lady! She was very nice & even gave a taste of plantains to my granddaughter to try! My son loves them, too. Many varieties of Empanadas available, as well as Samosas, which I'd like to try, so, Will return again to taste more. 🙋💕
Cynthia's Empanada Lady food truck was the star feature at my kids' graduation party. Yes, the empanadas are delicious! But on top of that, she takes great pride in her business and she treated me like family. We had 75 teenagers over and everyone raved about the food! Cynthia is a beautiful person and I will definitely be visiting and hiring her food truck again.
This is the best empanada place I've been to so many and this one has the best texture shell and most fullest very delicious I had beef chicken and veggie all 3 was delicious especially with the sauce 😋 😍 👌
I want to thank FIOS1 Restaurant Hunter and Christine Sloan for shining a light on this location. I drive on Bloomfield Ave twice a day to and from work. I never knew some good food was close. We stop in today and I am so glad we did. We was greeted upon our entrance walked to the counter to place our order.
My wife ordered two empanadas which ones I don't remember. I on the other hand ordered three one of each carnivore, vegetarian and sweet tooth. Buffalo chicken and gorgonzola, spinach and feta along with guava and cream cheese. Our daughter ordered two empanadas spinach and feta, kale, plantains and cheese. My wife ordered a side of sweet plantains.
Now these empanadas are nothing to laugh about hefty hearty fulfilling. While waiting we were asked if you would like to try bread pudding. Of course after our meal my wife got some bread pudding to go. I will to no other place for empanadas except Empanada Lady Cafe.
Their empanadas are really good. They are not stingy at all with their food. The staff were really nice to us. We will be going there again.
I absolutely love this place, and the Empanadas are so good. Different varieties offered my fav is the chicken/potato & cheesesteak empanada. This is a hidden gem for sure in Verona, Nj.
Nails the puffy, flakey skin of a fried empanada. The filings are well-balanced, one of my favorites being the Kale & Plantain empanada, whose plantains and white wine respectively contribute sweet and sour notes. I witnessed a cuban ex-pat raving about the cuban sandwich; how can you top that? I call her praise, and raise in regards to the side of yuca fries. The garlicky mojo sauce coating the light but starchy slices will slay your taste buds - seriously out of control. Rolling around town you may see their "big, beautiful, pink food truck" that mirrors the cafe's atmosphere of a midcentury Caribbean getaway.
