This is a fancy upscale restaurant with $$$$ for food and cocktails. Overall I was happy with the service and meal. Slightly disappointed with my salad that lacked spinach, which it was supposed to have with the chopped salad. The waiter brought me a plate of spinach, which for a five star restaurant it would have been more appropriate to remake my salad as expected with the spinach. The steak was delicious. I ordered 22oz ribeye William and Henry. The Lambs were also delicious and cooked to perfection.
This place is outstanding! I go to every ranked steakhouse in the area( including my new area raleigh) and the William and Mary steak is the BEST i have ever had. Add the bacon fig jam on top for even more greatness. The service was spectacular with very nice and outgoing pekple willing to give you tips and pairings that worked great. Awesome wine list and the sides and dessert were great. I can't say enough about this place. If you are like me and can scrap some money together to have a really perfect dining experience, this is the place!
It was new year's eve, the food was as always brilliant. The escargot was just perfect. However, lost a star as they rushed us out at 11pm. This was a bit rude and disappointing. Otherwise still worth a visit
As usual, the dining experience is one of the best if not the best in Lynchburg. I had the Ribeye special and my wife had the Filet Mignon. Potato wedges and brussel sprouts served as our accompaniments. The shrimp cocktail made a nice appetizer. For dessert we had the creme brulee and the "Wookie" which is a few fresh out of the oven cookies with ice cream and pecans. Dinner paired nicely with a glass of Malbec.
This place is a well hidden secret in Virginia. All the food here is great. The seem to have a speciality in steak. Hands down, this is the best Ribey I have ever eaten. The flavor profile is off the charts.
Several new tempting items have been added to the menu in the past month. Also, special choices are always a pleasant surprise for appetizers, entrees and desserts. Not aware if there is a children's menu.
The atmosphere and the service are consistently superb. We have enjoyed dinner for 6 as well as for 4 and 2. We will return.
Exceptional restaurant and service. Best crab cakes we've ever had. We cannot wait to go back for more. Our server was Steven and 10/10 went above and beyond. Great wine list. One of the best old fashions cocktail.
