We stopped by for lunch. We had wings,French fries and coleslaw. For dessert, I had Strawberry and Apple Crumble and coffee. The food was great. The staff were attentive and friendly. We're local so we'll definitely come back for the steak dinner. While there, I found out that their current menu is very different from the menu posted online. The previous owner had an extensive menu posted online. The current owner has a more streamlined menu.
Went with the Wife while we were visiting. We enjoy Local places to eat wherever we go. This was one of the best we've been. Atmosphere was nice, food was amazing. Steaks were cooked right, nice and juicy. Desserts were Great, my wife still craves the brownie. The staff were very nice. The Owner we had the pleasure of talking with was a kind all around fun guy from what we saw. It was a Friday night and he went around asking if anyone minded if the held karaoke night and it would be about an hour from then. My wife wanted to stay to see it. We did and had a good time listening to some locals sing. Thank You for this experience, if we find our way down that way again we will most definitely stop by. Keep up the Great work.
My husband took me to Dan's for my birthday. Our waitress was very nice and all the staff was very nice and polite. When u go there u have to try the steaks !!! They were done just right. The food was great. Try the warm brownie for dessert that was delicious !!!!
The decor is homey and gives you a sense of family like coziness right away…Greeted by Abby who was sweet as pie and quickly waited on me….The rolls were warm and tender so my butter melted right away,yum…..the steak,mashed potatoes and sautéed veggies were all outstanding!! When I am in the Shenandoah valley again I will be getting steak again at Dans Steak house
Came down to VA from NY to visit Shenendoah. We stopped at Dan’s for dinner and there was a 20 minute wait so we decided to wait at the bar. Best experience ever. We met the owner who is absolutely incredible. He is so attentive to the needs of his customers and you can tell that they are his first priority. Everyone here is SO friendly and so welcoming. Kathy was amazing and sweet- she made me a wonderful drink that wasnt on the menu. We ordered the steak, loaded potatoes and the chili- all delicious and loaded with flavor! If you’re in the area and you’re not sure where to go- this is the place for you! You will NOT be disappointed!
The steak was grilled to perfection, very tender and tasty with your choice of sauce on the side. I had the chicken smothered in country ham and cheese and the best mushroom gravy!!!! There are so many great menu choices. Kudos to the chef!!! The rolls (and cinnamon butter) are so light and airy. We’ve already started spreading the word that Dan’s is open under new management, The Custer’s a local family. Their staff is very friendly and attentive. Definitely worth the scenic drive.

Our dinners tonight was very good. We both ordered the 12oz sirloin with 2 sides. I can honestly say our steaks were some of the best steaks we have had and tender and cooked exactly how it was ordered. The smoked Mac n cheese was delicious. The staff is very inviting and friendly. Our waitress, Katie. Was very attentive and provided us with excellent service. A must if you are ever in the Shenandoah Valley !!!
Decided to try Dan's again after a mediocre experience a few years back. It was excellent. Even though the steak was a sirloin, it was very tender and cooked perfectly medium rate. The green beans were delicious as well. We also enjoyed the shrimp. The prices were reasonable and the staff courteous. I would encourage the local community to try it again if it's been a while.
