I came out to the coffee shop this past Saturday to meet and greet our awesome neighbors as I am running for Town Council in the coming election. I know I entered the shop early and very thankful for opening the doors for me. What a fantastic place this is!!! What is being delivered to the town with this shop is what we need. It was inspirational the way that people flock to this business and knowing customers by name. When I entered Back Street Brews it felt very welcoming and I was warmed by the feeling of being home. There was energy, a sense of community and best of all a feeling of family. We need more of that!!! Again, it was a great pleasure to get to meet everyone, be at Back Street Brews and to meet more of our Lovettsville family.

So happy to have a great little coffee shop right here in Lovettsville. I have been in several times and each visit was really wonderful. Their cold brew coffee is delicious. Always an interesting mix of baked goods as well. They also have a list of Lovettsville Elementary staff's favorite drinks and you can buy them one to pick up whenever they want. Such a fun idea!

Great little coffee place. Friendly and inviting atmosphere, tucked away just off of main drag in Lovettsville. This business really adds to the quaintness and small town atmosphere that the Town of Lovettsville offers. Must try it. I intend to be a regular.

I immediately loved the charm and character the second I walked in the door. 5 minutes after meeting Maureen, having my first latte and chatting with the “locals” I knew this was my new home away from home. Absolutely wonderful, happy place!

The shop is hidden in back street (hence the name?) and local cafe where locals hangout. Good coffee and nice atmosphere (charming old home feel in a small town). The owner/staff was friendly and there are plenty tables/seating available. It’s where I want to hangout to relax while enjoying good coffee.

Cute coffee shop with limited parking and some 10 minute parking. I liked the large outdoor seating area and there is a small kennel that you can put your dog in off leash. Indoors is quaint. I ordered a Cinnamon roll latte and a chocolate covered Strawberry latte. I also ordered a spinach and Artichoke quiche. The lattes did take some time and they also had to microwave to heat up my quiche. The quiche was pretty good and the lattes were delicious. Friendly staff and a great area to sit and enjoy the coffee and a good book.

I was driving from Winchester, VA to Fort Meade, MD using backroads to discover new places along the way. Luckily I found this hidden gem. The place is an eclectic mix of tables and chairs from all types of settings, but I did not come here for the décor, but it did help with the experience. I ordered their Matcha Latte that is out of this world! I think I arrived just before the morning rush, as it was very busy when I went about my business, but I will definitely recommend this place to my friends, family, strangers, people in other countries... I think you get the point, it is a fun and great place to sit and relax!

We love this place. Super friendly staff, great food, chill athmosphere, and a cool owner! Everything you want in a welcoming local coffee shop, with none of the big chain coldness! We go way out of our way to visit here whenever we are passing through! Maureen, keep up the great work!!

We love Back Street Brews and everyone who works there! The coffee, tea, smoothies, and kombucha are all top notch, as are the breakfast and lunch options. The ice cream is also a favorite. The vibe is cozy/eclectic and there is a beautiful display of local artists’ pieces, many of which are available for purchase. “Back Street Beach,” the pebble-filled patio area with its dump trucks, entertains my young boys.

Quirky collection of local made cards and crafts for sale. Had delicious breakfast sandwich with a regular coffee. Really Enjoyed sitting on the porch swing, sipping the brew.

This was a fun little find on our travels. While visitng family in Virginia, we took a little day trip to Harper's Ferry, West Virginia. Along the way the traffic on the road we needed to turn on was at a dead stop. We suspected there was a wreck as the traffic had not moved at all for about 5 minutes. We decided to turn the opposite direction and find a café or coffee shop where we could stretch our legs and wait out out the traffic delay. Our google search and gps led us to Back Street Brews. This is a great little coffee shop! They had a lot of different coffee options, iced and hot. I had an iced pistachio latte. It was delicious! They had a lot of bakery items as well. The staff was very friendly, and all of our coffee drinks were delicious. The weather was actually pleasant enough (for a July afternoon) that we were able to sit in the outside seating area. They also have seating inside as well. As we sat outside drinking our coffee, we saw a lot of foot traffic (presumably locals) coming to get coffee to go. If you're in the area, I recommend stopping by and grabbing a coffee and some baked goods!

This quaint and cozy coffee shop should definitely be on your list of places to visit if you are in the area of Lovettsville, VA! Tucked away on a side street it is in one half of an old home. We visited on a Saturday mid-morning and immediately felt right at home. I had a hot chocolate and a zucchini crumb muffin which were both absolutely delicious! While my husband enjoyed a cup of Lone Oak coffee and a crustless quiche, one he will now be trying to recreate. The selection of baked goods is vast and there are some gluten free options as well. I think the thing I enjoyed the most was chatting with the owner and fellow customers. It's a small town vibe but one that is very welcoming to those visiting the area. Maureen, the owner, has done an amazing job with this place! We will definitely be back!
