This place is so good! They have been a pillar of the highlands for 25 years. I’m sad to see this amazing small business shutting down. Get it while you can, you won’t regret it!

The breads, croissants, danishes, and other baked goods plus their coffee offerings are delicious and most certainly worth a visit. However, this bakery closes for the day early often by noon.

I Love their special breads, especially the Caraway Seed Rye. I have to order them ahead of time, because it is going very fast, and the company only makes a certain amount every day fresh.
Since they don't add artificial preservatives, the bread should be eaten within a few days, or frozen, to preserve freshness.
It is a wonderful snack, with just some organic butter on it.

One of my favorite little coffee shops to go on Douglas Loop. The interior is small and simple but the real draw here are the baked goods.
They have a wide selection of pasties and freshly baked bread. I highly reccomend their cheese danishes. The coffee is also high quality and on par with other local coffee shops.

Great local bakery. Staff are always kind. Very popular on weekend mornings, they bake their bread fresh every day except Sunday. I love the asiago loaf! Bagels are great and inexpensive. The coffee is fair trade, which is important to many of us Louisville natives and it tastes great. It's a pretty quiet, pleasant shop to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and spend time with your kid.

Breadworks is like a old fashioned bakery. My friend and I like their Rye bread with caraway seeds. It tastes almost like European bread. It sells out fast, and it's best to call and reserve it in the morning, or a day agead.
The staff is very friendly, and they cut the bread on a machine, when requested.
Also they have a wide variety of coffees and drinks. Tables and chairs to sit down and have some of their pastries, and a cup of coffee. It is small and no frills, but very adequate. I make a special trip a couple times a month to buy my favorite bread.

Ok, I'm not typically a "write a review" person. However, I was drawn out of my box by Breadworks. Clean and quaint, offering variety and freshness. But what put them over the top was a smoked salmon spread that blasted their perfect bagel into a whole new sumptuous category. Reasonably priced means repeat business from me!
FABULOUS!! Thanks Matt and Lily

I love breadworks. They have the best scones I have ever had, the chocolate chip ones especially. And their coffee is also fantastic. Definitely check this place out if you haven't already

Bread is good but not over the top, danishes and other sweets are very good. Scones are top notch and the cappuccino is way above average.
Actually the cappuccino was so good that I started ordering cappuccino in every cafe and this one stands tall.
