Review Jeff's Burger Shack - Louisville

Kenneth King
You want the hole in wall feel where the place looks homely but the food and service is incredible!?!? Well this is the place to go. I'll admit that I have driven by Jeff's Burger Shack plenty of time because it did not look to appealing from the outside. But hey, don't judge a book by its cover. First off, yes the restuarant is a bit dated in how it looks, inside and out. But the food and service more than makes up for it. You will bite into that buger mans instantly fall in love with it. They also give a very generous amount of fries. Their regular is more than most places large size amounts. And the front lady is oh so sweet and very kind. She even asks if you are or were military and gives a discount. So yes I highly recommend this place!!!

Yummy real fresh fries and burgers. Large fry portions. Variety of toppings for burger or hot dog. Chili cheese fries were hot and fresh! Delicious shakes including oreo and coffee with malt option. Affordable kids meal...we will definitely return. A must stop through Valley Station!!!

Awesome food and service! Ordered the double bacon cheeseburger, regular fries and a regular drink. Burger was hot, toppings were fresh, and the fries were perfectly cooked with just the right amount of salt. Quite and relaxed atmosphere with good music.

One of the best places for a burger in the area! Service is always great. I get a double cheese with grilled onions <3 Always nice giving my business to a locally owned spot as well

Food was good and the prices were reasonable. Ordered the double cheese burger and a order of regular cajun fries, which was way more than I was expecting and could not eat them all. The restaurant was clean but felt a little outdated, other than that nice place to eat and veteran owned.

Jeff's Burger Shack is a simple, non-descript veteran owned place on 31W between Louiseville and Ft. Knox. I have passed it many times, and today I decided to give it a try. I was not disappointed. The burger is juicy and tasty. I havent had many that were better. The fries were also very good and you get a ton of them. I highly recommend Jeff's if you are looking for a simple burger joint with good food.

One of the best burgers, and frys I've had in a long time! The shakes were amazing too!

We have been here twice and both times have been phenomenal! Don't be put off by the exterior, the food is delicious and service is great as well. It's a must try!

Delicious food, great friendly service, and Big Red in the soda fountain. This is a gem of a burger joint!

Best burger and fries that I have had in a long time!

It seemed like five guys but better pricing. The burger seemed plain to me. The fries were alright. Everything was really hot and fresh. Their tea was in plastic containers which I really liked because when I get tea somewhere it always taste like metal. They have big red also which was good. The cashier was friendly. Their shakes are the best. They use real ingredients in their shakes. The only thing I wish they would change about the shakes if they would have different sizes. The paint scheme is lacking, it's just all over the place. I also had a side of chili for my fries and it tasted homemade. I think people should try this restaurant.

One of the best burger restaurants I've ever been.

After passing by this place since it's opening and saying. "Someday I will try that place". Needless to say I and my wife waited way to long to try. It was worth the trip 😀 First off... I must praise Jeff's for 100% Health Department Grade. GOOD JOB!!! The burgers are made to order with fresh not frozen meat with want appears to be a toasted brioche bun. There is a large choice toppings for your burgers. The french fries are cut fresh and cooked. We also order the chili fries to give them a try. Our burgers and fries were done within 5 minutes. And were some of the best burgers I've had at a independently owned Hamburger Joint 😎 I would give a 5-Star if the food was served on a tray for the dine-in customers and the interior needs a little updating.

This was my first visit to Jeff's Burger Shack, and I was not disappointed. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. The dining room is a bit outdated, but still clean and fairly comfortable. I like the fact that the business is owned by a proud veteran. I didn't ask if they offer a discount to veterans, but if they do it would be nice to promote it.

As far as restaurants go, this is a great restaurant for a hamburger! Plain burgers start at around 5 dollars. The service is great. It's clean. It's a local favorite. It doesn't look superfancy from the outside but don't let that cause you to miss out! The food is yummy. I believe this building was once an A&W restaurant and it's cool to see how the new owner has made it new & useful again. Plus, it's Veteran owned y'all.

This is a cursed location, nothing survives here for very long! Over the years it has been an A&W and a Hawaii burger but nothing seems to last. Finally we have Jeff's Burger Shack, a fantastic experience packed into the corpse of a failed business. The food is nothing short of perfect. The burgers are succulent and piled high with all the ingredients you could want. The fries are slightly spicey and cooked perfectly every time. The bag the fries come in smells so good it is hard not to eat it as well! The menu is tight and everything on it is executed perfectly each time I come. The sweat iced tea is the best in the city by far! Finally to top it all off the milk shakes are as delectable as they are generous. My sincere desire is to see this veteran owned and operated restaurant succeed. I hope that one day soon they can move out of the husk of an old beat up A&W and into a new building all their own.

A friend recommended this restaurant to me a few months ago she really enjoyed the food and service was quick and accurate. Yesterday as my husband and I were leaving the Louisville area and heading home it popped in my head what she had said about this restaurant and I suggested we have lunch there. We were both completely satisfied with this little burger shack. It was the best double cheeseburger and fries we had ate in awhile. It was freshly cooked and I liked that it was not over done and dried out. My best description here would be properly done as we don't care for our burgers to be pink but at the same time we prefer it not be overcooked. With this being said it was perfectly cooked and hot. The sandwich was nicely dressed with perfect amount toppings it was wrapped just so neatly. The pickles were crunchy and the lettuce also perfect amount of mayo. You could choose how you preferred yours made and I feel sure how ever you liked your burger you would be very satisfied with the service here. Obvious to me the employee took great pride in not only preparing but properly wrapping and placing our food in the bag where it would not fall all over the bottom of it. The fries were awesome just as good as the burger! They were hot and the containers of ketchup was cold perfect combination. Honestly folks this was the best food I have eaten in awhile and it was so nice to have it so neatly packaged not just throwed at you and your fries all over the place. Service was delightful. And it was quick as a matter of fact I have waited longer in most drive thru lines than I did here. I would give it more than 5 stars If I could. Prices were fair and reasonable. I will be returning to Jeff's Burger Shack in the very near future and I hope you will try it too. Thank you for you time.

I ordered a single bacon cheese burger with mayo, ketchup and mustard with lettuce and tomatoes and onions. I also had a little fry. It only costed me 10.00 and some change. It was all worth the cost. I got my money worth. The burger was made to my order. The fries was hot and fresh. They are worth a visit. I enjoyed my food. Check them out.

I am from out of town - visiting the area for work, and this place came highly recommended by the people my crew is working with. We drove here, and honestly - almost turned around because we had no idea what we were getting into from the looks of the place on the outside. Thinking back to the recommendation, we decided to give it a whirl. First impression - It's a local fare, hole-in-the-wall place... which I love. Travelling as much as I do, I've learned that these are usually the best local places to eat. The decor is very plain and dated, but I was there for the food, so I don't care. I had a double cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles - a small fry, and a large soda. The burger was juicy, on a butter toasted bun. wrapped in foil - fresh toppings - Delicious! The fries were natural cut fresh from the fryer - slightly greasy. Delicious! They were served in a styro cup with extra thrown into the bag (think Five Guys). The soda choices were Pepsi products. I'm a Coke guy, so not a fan, but I do like Dr. Pepper, so there was that. The food had a Five Guys feel with much less grease. Overall, the recommendation was spot on - the food wast great - and if I'm ever back in the area, I'll be back!

I have never commented on a restaurant before but after having Jeff's Burger today I had to write this. After driving by this location daily I finally stopped in and had Jeff's Burger today. It was the best burger I have ever had at any restaurant! I also loved the cajun fries! I am going back tomorrow and bringing my whole family. I highly recommend this place!

Best burger on Dixie! Fries are great as well. Tastes like one of the “five guys” wondered off and found a great “hole in the wall” location to surprise the weary south Dixie traveler.

bare bones Burger server..hand formed patties, to small for bub. Lots of great toppings, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, jalapenos, plus usual fare of dressings. Small fry was huge. I felt like a Double cheeseburger (no choice of cheeses) small fry medium drink was a bit over at $12..nice for a change, but...

Would be a 5 but I really would like to see a kid's size hamburger. This is one of our favorite places to go out to eat as a family but the kids like different toppings which makes splitting a burger hard. Food and service is always on point!!

Went there today , great burgers and one fry was enough for the two of us. Cleanest burger place I ever been in. 100% Health Department rating and friendly employees. Will be back for sure. Great unsweetened iced tea!!!!!!!!

The burgers were good. The fries were great. The staff was friendly, the place was clean. My kids and I loved it. Like many people have already said, the portions were really big, you feel you get your money's worth in ingredients and quantity. You have a little to munch on after dinner. We will be back!
