The food was pretty good, made fresh to order, will definitely be back.
One of my favorite burger joints. Truly a "back yard" homemade taste.
One of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The meat tasted fresh, it had fresh leaf lettuce and a healthy slice of tomato. The seasoned fries were delicious and not greasy. The onion rings were nice and crunchy, just the way I like them. Their mushroom Swiss burger is the balm! I'll be going back soon for more yummy food.
Had an awesome experience with my family. We sat out on the patio with our dog. The burgers were awesome. The waffle fries were perfect; they had hot and crispy outside, and light and fluffy center. The staff was super nice. Fully recommended by me.
I’ve had better burgers, but this place is inexpensive and the employees are all very friendly. The beef itself is somewhat dry, so I’d recommend getting a burger with flavorful toppings/condiments.
Also, from the outside it appears to be a vacant building - overgrown grass and landscaping, dark inside, and faded lines in the parking lot.
From placing my order at the intercom to receiving my food was less than 2 minutes, so it’s a good spot for a quick lunch break.
Top burger joint, to be honest! The food is amazing and tastes SO fresh and there's a pretty wide selection! The staff is so sweet and accommodating. Everything about this place is super clean, from the outside to the inside to the bathrooms. It has like an old school diner vibe to it that just makes you feel super comfortable. 10/10 would recommend.
Spacious parking. Server was absolutely fantastic. Our food was done before we could even finish filling up our drinks and sit down. The meat is better than most actual restaurants. Overall, a definite 10/10 service. Will for sure be back!
We randomly picked a restaurant that was local to our hotel. We didn't know what to expect from Back Yard Burgers, and it turned out to be really good. I got a BBQ Bacon Burger and it was great. I read a review of the place before I went that said to try the fried pickles and, so I did with great delight. The staff was also incredibly nice.
Found this place on Groupon and decided to give it a try. Had the wild turkey burger and it was amazing. Also tried the salt and vinegar fries and they were AMAZING. had peach cobbler and it could’ve been better but overall the meal was good for the price. Staff was friendly and restaurant was clean - bit outdated but hey. Worth a visit.
Loved it times ten! I am a pescatarian and I usually regret visiting the South as far as food options. My sons partook of chicken and turkey burgers and I had a delicious veggie burger with a baked potato and salad. The food was made to order, hot, and fresh. Southern hospitality is REAL kudos to the staff.
The food quality and portion size is good for the money. I had the Black Jack burger and seasoned fries. The peper jack cheese and cajun seasoning were very tasty. The seasoned fried were hot and fresh, not greasy at all.
The dining area could use a refresh of decor but was clean and well lit. I would definately return here.

This place serves a really good burger! I don't come here too often, but when I do I usually get the Mushroom & Swiss. But this time I opted for the Black Jack, and think I've found my favorite fast food hamburger, period. I'll be coming here more often!
Can't comment on the food because I don't eat that stuff but I picked up some for my dad and he loves it. The turkey burger was a good option for him because it's healthier and he doesn't really notice any difference. The staff was super friendly and pretty efficient despite running on a skeletonon crew (they were closing). The best is the $10 for $5 Groupon combined with whatever the current promotion is. I got pops a good dinner and a milkshake for five bucks. He loved the chocolate shake.
I'm in Louisville on a business trip and Backyard Burgers was within walking distance. The service crew were polite and helpful. The service was quick. The portion size was acceptable It was brought to my table quickly
My friends and I may a quick trip here while staying at Tru across the street. For fast food, Back Yard Burgers is a solid option. They're not likely to win any awards, but they have a nice selection of pretty tasty burgers. Their waffle fries are really good as well, though I felt like the amount was a little stingy. But it provided a good foundation for an evening of drinking, and that's what counted at the time
Fantastic place. Was out of town for two weeks, and I couldn't find anywhere good to eat. This place was across the street from where I was staying, and I ended up eating there almost everyday. No regrets, the place is awesome, the staff is nice, it's super convenient, and delicious. Five stars, highly recommended
