First and foremost, the staff is awesome and chill. Very helpful and nice. The atmosphere was clean and perfect for time with friends / family. The food was fresh and delicious. A bit more than I was expecting price wise, BUT the crack sticks make that worth it. Definitely filling.

Been here before and this visit was no different, excellent. My wife and I love their pizza and the beer prices. Service was fast and cheerful. If you go early enough, afterwards you can walk around the art center and still catch some of the vendors open. At least you can view the art on display.
Parking is getting tighter on the upper lot due to construction but there is still plenty of space across Mellwood in the larger lot.
My 10/2023 update: Still the best Pizza in Louisville as far as I'm concerned. We still go and get a 12' Veggie, couple of beers and sit outside in the breezeway and people watch.
Last week we just tried for the first time, BREAD STICKS, oh my.
I should have taken a picture but too hungry and forgot. Covered with Parm and floating in garlic butter. We both loved them and will be back for another round. As we sat enjoying the bread sticks we couldn't help but notice on a Friday evening how many more bread stick orders showed up on tables around us. The word is out and I'm just a late comer.
Go enjoy, you won't regret it.

Tried the Kentucky hot brown pizza. I felt like I was eating a heart attack. SO SO rich. Can only take that pizza in one small slice at a time. Pizza was made well-lots of cheese, bacon, turkey. I think I would like the pizza better had it not been so overwhelmingly rich.

I wish I could give this place a 6 out of 5. The customer service, the food and the restaurant itself, totally amazing. The service is great. Truly. When I came in to pick up the order, they let me know it would be a couple mins and gave me a drink while I waited. We got like 10 pizzas so they helped me carry it out to my car. Once I got back to work, my coworkers and I looked at all the pizzas. Man they looked good. The best pizza I had was the BBQ Chicken pizza with no onions. I could have eaten one of them all by myself it was so good. I’ll have to order this for my friends and family here soon.

Love this place. We normally get lunch here but tonight I took my date. Plenty of parking. Danny Mac's is one clean and friendly place. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Restaurant is very clean, bathrooms are clean. This place is a gold mine if you like pizza, subs. The pizza was great, ham had a great taste and if you like cold beer they have it. We don't drink so we got Bigred and to say, they knocked it out of the park. Stop in and try it out. We will definitely be back with our group.

Danny Mac and his crew serve up the best pizza I have ever had. Everything they sell is A+ and worthwhile. I wish I had known about this place a whole lot sooner. It also helps that everyone that works there is very nice and they always give the best customer service!

Went here on a whim to grab food to-go since we were picking up our car nearby. I had pizza 2 days prior so I wasn't even in the mood for pizza. I got the 7 inch chicken bacon ranch pizza and WOW it was YUMM. Was very happy to have discovered this relatively hidden spot. Staff was very nice.

My family was in town for a wedding and I looked this place up. It was a little hard for me to find seeing as I am not from the area. It is in the middle of the Art center which was really nice to be able to sit outside. I ordered the cheese sticks from previous reviews that I read and trust me they are phenomenal. I could have eat only cheese stick because it comes in a big order. I also ordered a meats pizza as well. The crust is crispy and airy. The best part to me is the cheese. This place just puts a good cheese on their pizzas. I would recommend this place and the prices are not bad either. If I remember correctly the pizza was about 20 dollars. If I am ever back in town I would eat here again.

I wasn't sure about the Ky Hot Brown as a pizza selection before ordering... But let me tell you that I was delighted after my first bite! We also tried the Nashville Hot Honey Chicken pizza... MmmMmm!

This place is great. Hidden inside the old Fishers Meat Packing Plant it serves fantastic pizza along side little shops selling hand made pottery, gothic theater, and one room that is so undone it deserves a look see.
Great food, cold beer, reasonably priced Rum and Pepsi and an atmosphere to die for.

The pizza is delicious and I highly recommend hot brown pizza version. Tastes almost equal to the original but pizza version so cheaper and easier to eat. Located at the Mellwood Art Center. The restaurant was clean and the staff extremely friendly.

WOW! I'll never buy another pizza or sub sandwich anywhere else. The quality AND the quantity of food was top notch. I rarely leave a meal unfinished, but this was so delicious and filling that there was even a little extra to cart home. 10 stars! Will nom again!

This has got to be one of Louisville's best kept secrets. A buddy of mine and I visited and were promptly seated and served, starting off with an order of breadsticks. They call their breadsticks "cracksticks" on the menu, and they've definitely earned that title - I was still picking up loose cheese that fell off, dignity be damned. Soon after, our pizzas were served, and you can absolutely tell that the owner must be very meticulous about the cheese: the breadsticks, the pizza, everything has the most skillfully prepared cheese, with just the right amount - no cheese left over, and no skimping whatosever. This is the first restaurant I'm going to start bringing out-of-town friends to when they come to Louisville. Simply outstanding.
Also needs a DDR machine.

With so many good locally owned pizza spots it hard to really say....but will say this. This location is very cool, the breadsticks didn't dissapoint. The pizza ranks up there with the best in town. Service was great considering we had 4 adults and 9 kids with us at the time. Will definitely eat there again! Good job DM!

Good atmosphere.
Cheesesticks were done right and delicious dipped in the marinara sauce.
We ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza.
It was wonderful and the ratio of sauce to cheese to toppings was spot on.
I had the sweet tea which tasted great.
The bill ended up being under $30 and we had plenty left over.
9/10 we will go again!

First time at this venue and the atmosphere was amazing. Looking at the structure of the old building made me want to go exploring. Knowing that my father in law used to work here when it was a working manufacturing facility was nostalgic. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fun and relaxing. The patio was nicely lighted and the little shops scattered about made me want to hat shop for the next derby! Can't wait to go back and spend more time! Plus, " Your 2nd Favorite Band" made me sing out loud! 5 stars!
