Review Annie Cafe - Louisville

My husband and I loved our experience here! The interior isn’t the most impressive, and the bench I was sitting on kept moving around, but it was still fairly comfortable. We ordered quite a few dishes, but of course had to try the pho. All in all the flavor was excellent and my husband finished up the broth real quick! The other dishes we ordered were delicious, though their egg rolls weren’t my favorite. The combo fried rice had good flavor but could’ve been a bit stronger. My husband loved the ginger garlic beef dish and and I enjoyed my beef and broccoli. We’d love to come back and try even more from their menu!

Do you want a quiet, friendly environment? Great food & that neighborhood charm you didn’t know you needed? Look no further. I’ve taken three bites of this vermicelli bowl and I’m wondering why & how I’ve never come here before. Going to now judge all the vermicelli bowls off of this one from now on. Thanks Annies Cafe! Can’t wait to come back again

My family went here for lunch. My husband loved the banh mi sandwich it’s the best one he has ever had. Didn’t get a picture of the banh mi because he devoured it. I got the pho and it was AMAZING. I literally felt like it was healing to my body. Our 2 1/2 year old picked up his bowl of pho and drank it while saying yum yum between slurps. If you are looking for a hidden gem here it is. Prices were very reasonable.

Our go to for beef pho! One word of advice: the pho is made daily and may taste different based on the chef. Have only had one bowl out of dozens that was sub par. We frequently being out of town guests here.

The pho broth is actually quite nice and flavorful. The bowl size, noodles, and meats were generous and fulfilling. Pork was good and the tacos were tasty as well. The building itself is old and needs some cleaning tho. Recommend for tasty food especially the pho.

Wow. Great food. Order what you like, it's all terrific. One of best Banh Mi sandwiches in the city too.

My Ma and I stopped here for lunch just the other day, and we will be back! Our new favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Louisville. Excellent food and reasonable prices. Treat yourself to a pot of hot jasmine tea, Yum! The fresh shrimp spring rolls and vermicelli bowl I got were delicious! After eating here, take a leisurely stroll into the other interesting shops on this surprisingly diverse block in the Woodlawn area.

Best Pho in Louisville. (And I’ve been to all of them). All the negative reviews are bogus. Catfish clay pot to die for…the sandwiches are the bomb too. 🚀

Food is top notch. The location and service is ok... it gets the job done (of delivering delectable goodness to your belly.)

Best place I ever been . Food was like a religious experience ( minus the people in funny clothing) It reminded me of space mountain but for taste buds. I highly recommend it. I got to talk to the Hispanic dude that was cooking in the kitchen and that guy was legit an angel

Small, quiet Vietnamese Restaurant located a few minutes from I-264 Southern Pkwy Exit. Tasty, authentic Vietnamese dishes at prices averaging around $10 per entree. It is one of our favorite Vietnamese restaurants in town!

A nice and simple place, with a lot of charm and good food. Great menu selections, and helpful workers. I went with a desire to satisfy my craving for a Vietnamese meal, but only intensified my need for more!

I never write reviews but this place was a 10/10. Super authentic and the food was some of the best that I’ve had in Louisville. The place is also very charming. Absolutely loved!

This is a hidden gem in Louisville. Everyone is so incredibly sweet and ready to help with whatever questions you might have. The vibe is super relaxed and low-key. Their tea and avocado smoothie was on point, their noodles are delicious, and their tofu spring rolls were ACTUALLY amazing! They really know how to execute beautiful flavors while also showing passion in their cuisine. I definitely recommend this lovely little cafe!

We tried Annies Cafe because we were having a pho craving and Vietnam Kitchen was closed. I've been here once before and the food was decent and the chicken wing appetizer was incredible. Not so much this time around. The good stuff first, the prices are good and the food was prepared and served quickly. That's about it for the good stuff. We ordered the summer roll, pass on this dish, believe me. We ordered an order of the chicken wings for my 5 year old son. While he was working on the biggest one on the plate he bit into a smaller one and blood came running out of it. We called the waitress over who sent who I assume was the owner over who first tried to convince us that it was fine but then I opened up the wing and showed her and there was no denying that they were way undercooked. She told us to have him finish the big one on his plate because it was cooked, we looked. She then picked up all the wings, said she wouldn't charge us and then left with my sons dinner never to be seen or heard from again. He finished his one chicken wing and about 10 minutes later we asked the waitress when our replacement wings would be out, he was hungry and asking for more wings. She went and checked and said the owner said she wasn't charging us. I explained that that's great but he's really hungry, we have no problem paying for the wings, but we need another order and we'll pay for them, he's hungry and sitting there watching us eat our pho. She went back to the kitchen then came out and told us she apologizes but the kitchen is closed, they can't cook us anything else. Knowing there was no point in arguing we just looked at her dumbfounded and said ok. Then watched as the people sitting next to us who ordered about 5 minutes ago get there food about 5 minutes later and then watched them eat there freshly prepared food as we left. As for the pho, the price was great, the broth was bland and watery, the mint and cilantro were wilted, the two small pieces of lime we got for two large bowls of pho were dried up with no juice in them and we got about a half of a small jalapeño for the both of us. ..when we requested more the waitress was pleasant but brought us the same small plate of dried up condiments. The containers that the fish sauce and soy sauce are in on the table were filthy and the container that they keep the plastic chop sticks in on the table was disgusting looking. I love small cheap dive pho places, but this place was just lazy and mediocre at best. Will not be returning.

I visit about once a week and have never been disappointed. The pho is great and the service is fast. You also never have to wait for a table.

Best place to have Vietnamese food. Especially the dish called "PHO!"
