Morels Cafe

One of my FAVORITE vegan establishments. I'm so thankful for this restaurant. I feel like it has opened many doors for other vegan places to open up, and opened my people's eye to the fact that just because it's vegan, doesn't mean it can't be amazing comfort food. There isn't anything on the menu that I wouldn't recommend. My absolute favorite meal to order is the diner burger with either mac n cheese, or potato salad. Some of the best potato salad I've ever had too! There are plenty of different options to choose from, as well as a deli case and many take-home items like pizza! I love that there is also a little store where I can pick up some vegan essentials like nooch, marshmallows, alfredo sauce, etc! There's also an amazing baker who works there (@sugarhighlouisville) and if you go in at the right time, you can grab some of her amazing cakes, muffins, pop tarts, and many other little things! I love this place! (the menu pictured is not the current menu, as it's ever changing, just wanted to give an idea of what's offered!)

First time dining and I enjoyed myself. Feels like a very mellow and calm place. The workers are friendly and knowledgable of their food. I am not vegan or vegetarian. Yet the food was absolutely delicious. Roommate got the Chik-faux-lait and it was absolutely amazing (will be getting that next time) I got the bratwurst. I liked the flavor, but I think it may be a sometime order for me. This place is great for any adventurous eater.

I've heard so many good things about Morel's and they were all true. The worst part was trying to decide what to order, everything looked delicious. I ordered the Korean sliders with a Fancy AF side buffalo ranch "chicken" salad. The salad was teeny tiny but oh man, it was so good. The sliders were very good too but next time I'm 100% getting a large salad. My friend got the Farby with dill potato salad.. WOW. She let me have a bite of the sandwich and it was amazing! You do NOT have to be vegan/vegetarian to appreciate Morel's. Highly recommend if you're looking for a casually hip spot w good food.

I agree with the many rave reviews! Vegan junk food that a carnivore like me will enjoy! I had the faux roast beef sandwich and it was a sloppy yummy mess of a vegan fast food feast. The fries were good too. The place has a great vibe, cool atmosphere and if the weather is nice, don't miss the beautiful and relaxing outdoor back patio pergola. Only ding I'd give to my visit was it took a tad long for the food to come out, but no biggie.

Absolutely the best veggie burger I've ever had in my life! Also, curly or waffle fries (like there's any other kind worth shoving in your face)! I usually feel surprised when I can even tolerate vegan food meant to mimic meat dishes...but I was so beside myself after my first few bites that I was already setting up lunch dates with friends. Do yourself a favor and try this place out.
