Rumors Restaurant

Have driven by and have heard of people going to Rumors for lunch for years. This was my first opportunity to go and I didn't know what to expect. Well, first off, we walked inside the restaurant where the server's station is (oops). The inside was clean and we found our party after wandering aimlessly through the restaurant for a bit. Our server, Cesar was great. Whenever I see a creole type dish no matter where I go, I'll usually order it. Went with the shrimp & grits... and yeah, that wasn't what I was expecting. The rest of the party seemed to enjoy their food (fried cod, grouper and clam strips were some of the items ordered). Willing to give them another shot down the line, but not necessarily in a rush to go back.

For lunch today at Rumors restaurant my boyfriend and I sat at the bar. We had Matt as our server/bartender and he was awesome. U I ordered the hugs and kisses, nonalcoholic, piña colada and peaches blended together, my boyfriend ordered the mango margarita with sugar on it. They were both super yummy! Each of us order the fish sandwich he got the fries and ranch for his sides, the ranch was very flavorful. I got the potatoes as a side and they were Ok. We will be back! I had the rumors steak sandwich this time & seafood salad, both were delicious!!!!!

Went for a beer and wings. The wings are very good, but absolutely the smallest I have seen. Four stars only for the quality of the food and the friendly staff. The wings were easily half the size I would expect. 10 pigeon drumsticks for fifteen bucks? I'll be moving on. The menu looked really good, but no value here.

A nice casual restaurant. We've been Rumors customers for 20+ years. The restaurant needs a refresh and the food prices have gone up alot in the past few years. It used to be a good place to get chicken wings in a casual environment, now 10 wings + a side & soft drink is North of $20 before tip.
