Review Half-peach Bakery And Cafe - Louisville

Wow. What a great place. So happy to find a vegan place with so much variety!! Had an artichoke pizza which is probably the best vegan pizza I’ve had. The cheese was not your typical gooey which I truly don’t care for. My daughter had the chicken fingers w/ bbq sauce which she approved of! Also grabbed some cashew cheese and ginger cookies. Cookies are soft and delicious, haven’t tried the cheese yet. 5 stars, will be coming back!

First time in Kentucky and we found this absolute GEM. The menu had so many incredible options that we had to taste test a little of everything. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Everyone we interacted with was so polite and helpful. So sad we don’t live in Kentucky because we would be regulars here! Can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend!!

Stopped by during lunch and got a last minute cake for my son's birthday. Realizing half way through it was vegan I was a little bit hesitant. The awesome lady there senced it and gave me a free cookie which was amazing. I was worried that because my cake I was ordering didn't have eggs and butter in it that it would taste different and people would notice. I kid you not, it was the best cake I've had in my adult life, one couldn't even tell if it was vegan or not. Which I think was a good thing. I will come back one day, I feel confident with their product. The main lady there was nice like family.

Owner graciously accepted my order short notice. The cake was amazing - dense like pound cake but somehow very moist, full of flavor, the icing was smooth and not too heavy. (Note - don’t leave out of fridge due to icing, but it’s still amazing served cold!) I don’t normally eat vegan, but I can definitely see ordering here again. I also tried a slice of the carrot cake and it was superb!

Cute little vegan spot hidden away in St Mathew’s. Had their protein rich bean chilli and cashew Mac and cheese. I did a dine in option, my only concern or suggestion would be to serve hot food in something other than the take away plastic containers.

I ordered ahead of time a spinach and artichoke pizza, and tres leches cake. Both were very good. The place is in an office building of sorts, in the back. There are two sides, connected with an open doorway. The first side has the counter, drink and dessert fridge, and the kitchen behind the counter. My food was ready. I took it through the doorway and sat at one of the empty tables. It was clean, quiet, and pleasant. I would come here again if I lived nearby.

We were looking for some amazing vegan restaurants in Louisville and this was one of the top recommendations. And after our experience here, I can understand why. Food: It is a 100% vegan restaurant and has numerous options in terms of coffee, tea, smoothies, salad bowls, sandwiches and some Mediterranean stuff like falafel. We went for Banh Mi with a side of French Toast Bread Pudding and Falafels with a side of Scrambled Tofu. Banh Mi was amazing. The mixture of monkey head and enoki mushrooms with soy protein came across as great and the veggies complemented well. The bread was nice. French Toast Bread Pudding tasted great. Falafels on a whole wheat flatbread were great. What I loved about the whole dish was the proportion of filling to the size of flatbread which ensured no spill and a clean eating experience. Very well thought. However, the flop of the show was Scrambled Tofu which had good spices but was totally missing out on acidity. I would give it a skip the next time. For desserts, we went for Carrot Cake and Peach Ginger Almond Cake. We loved them both. Carrot Cake was a little drier than normal which could be improved. However, in terms of taste, both of them were great. Besides cooked food they also sell items like Red Tea, Kentucky locally brewed Kombucha and Cashew Cheese Sauce. Ambiance: Great and peaceful ambiance. It is not a large place but still has a seating capacity of about 25-30 folks. They have a large table, multiple small tables on the other side and a couple of round tables in the center. The overall ambiance is quite neat. Service: Good service and very friendly staff. We had our order prepared pretty much at the right time. Although the order of the food as it came was quite strange. We got the sides quickly since they were ready and by the time our main order came - Banh Mi and Falafels - we were done with sides. Having said that, the service was good overall. They have sizable parking outside. No specific parking for the restaurant per se but it is a general and free parking for the customers visiting any of the shops of restaurants in the complex. Overall, a great place for an amazing vegan meal in Louisville.

Out of all the well known vegan places in Louisville, I think Half-Peach is my favorite. Their food is delicious, their staff is super friendly and they have a nice dining area where you can eat at! If you come, definitely get the cookies at least.

Wow, I love this place! I found them on instagram when I was looking for a vegan and gluten free dessert for Christmas, and their Yule log (that was available gluten free, as well as regular) caught my eye. It was delicious! The buttercream was so smooth and the cake was rich. I honestly couldn’t believe it was vegan and gluten free. They offer so much here, both desserts and regular meals, that are all vegan and sound delicious! I also like that they have all their things labeled with allergens on their online ordering system, so I know exactly what I can and cannot eat. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying more things at Half Peach!

Adorable aesthetic cafe, all vegan menu with so many delicious choices. There was even a to-go selection of dated food you could grab for $3-6. Clean, nice environment with plants and art; staff service was good. Clean restrooms. We ordered the chili cheese fries, wonton soup, the Southern vegan chickun sandwhich and apple broccoli salad: everything was DELICIOUS. Best vegan soup I've had. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. 10/10 will come back again and eat here.

I’m a visiting vegan from St. Louis, and loved this place. I ordered baked goods to take with me for the team I’m visiting, and a chickn pesto pizza for lunch. Both were excellent, and Sue was wonderful to deal with in regard to the larger special order.

Let me tell you now, I am not vegan. Nor am I lactose or gluten intolerant, so this was my very first time trying vegan baked goods. I do not know what magic they whipped up to accomplish this BUT the 3 items I tried tasted like the exact same as non-vegan desserts. Like, literally no difference. And I am absolutely addicted to baked goods so I have a lot of knowledge to compare! Lol. The two ladies that helped us were absolute dolls and they shared the creations they make that can even be ordered for a party like vegan sandwiches and/or vegan Mac and Cheese…! Now, before going to this bakery, I admit I was extremely hesitant to try anything (one bad experience with a block of tofu in 2007/2008 lol), but I would absolutely try ~ANYTHING~ these ladies would/could whip up. Master Chef’s with top notch customer service perfectly paired with their thoughtful creations. **Hands down 5 out of 5 stars** Items tasted: Strawberry poke cake Coconut cake Chocolate chip cookies

Such a great place! I have several allergies and the employees showed me several options I could have. The food was delicious. I even took my kids and they loved it!

Good vegan restaurant- even for carnivores. Let's start out by saying I am a meat eater. Nothing crazy, I mostly eat chicken, fish adding a dash of pork and an occasional steak (medium rare). And as far as I am concerned, cheese is a building block of civilization. Half-Peach has non of the above serving only vegan food, and I didn't miss my meaty fare at all. A serving of nachos had the taste and flavor of cheese, sour cream, and season meat without using any of these items. Was it the best nachos ever, no. But they were far from the worse and something I'd order again. The shrimp poboy had something that looked like fried shrimp, but shrimp it wasn't. The vegan shrimp (however it was made) tasted like shrimp, but had a different texture to it when eaten on it's own.. However when eaten on the sandwich, I would not be able to tell the difference. While Half-Peach may never be a regular stop for me, I do look forward to going back and trying something new.

Excellent vegetarian restaurant. Soups are delicious. They sell vegan cheese. The hot tea options are great. Sue, the owner, is wonderful.

My vegan self and my vegan fiancé almost decided to return to Michigan before visiting this place. I am so glad we went out of our way to stop by. The lady at the counter was really knowledgeable about the ingredients in everything and was friendly. I got the bean-based Italian sausage on salad. My one complaint about this is that there wasn’t quite enough dressing to distribute amongst the greens, which could be amended by sprinkling a bit of pepper or a spritz of vinegar to help toss it around. The “sausage” was very flavorful and distinctly herbal, like any other good Italian sausage. My food was awesome, but I really envied the spicy chick’n sandwich. Super flavorful and delightfully layered with chewy, crispy and crunchy textures. We also tried the falafel and the fries. They didn’t skimp with the seasonings on anything and it was all fantastic! Let me also say that the chocolate chip cookies are the best, vegan or not. Toasty, thick, buttery and sweet. I only got one for each of us but I should have bought the whole lot they had. So good. We got everything to go since we were hitting the road, but I didn’t want to leave! It is such a bright, comfortable space. Definitely worth the trip!

Wow! Best vegan restaurant in the city! Went with some girlfriends who are not vegan ND they loved it too! We got the pizza, nachos and a combo bowl and everything was absolutely delicious. Got some baked treats to take home and everything was delicious. Highly recommend, even if you're not vegan. Will definitely be back for more! Thank you for providing superb vegan cuisine!!

Good: * for the health conscious, this is likely the widest all-vegan menu in town * great tasting food and deserts * exceptionally friendly staff Bad: * can't think of anything bad --- other than they need to move to my part of town! ;) Vegan or health conscious lifestyle? This place is a must!

Wish this place was closer to home. I had the eggplant of the sea sandwich, delicious!! The eggplant was cooked perfectly and the bread tasted like it was freshly baked. My boyfriend ordered the Margherita pizza, the sauce and crust were both really good. Tasted like both were made right there. For dessert, we had a couple of the chocolate chip with salt cookies. I'm not big on cookies but these were excellent. We will definitely be back our next trip to Louisville

This is such a great place to get a bite to eat! Lots of healthy options (GF, oil free, no salt etc..) and everything is made in house and from scratch! My meal was fantastic and the best part was the desserts. You can't go wrong with a chocolate double layer cake and strawberry cake!! The staff is very knowledgeable and super friendly. I had the pleasure of talking to the owner, her passion for Vegan food was so inspiring..I had asked about who made the wonderful cakes and she told me about how she trains her staff how to bake/cook. I thought that was super cool that she takes the time to teach others tricks of her trade! People don't do that sort of thing anymore, and I thought that was special! May this place continue to grow and prosper!

All the food is incredible, and creatively crafted. The vegan blueberry raw cheesecake is to die for. A little more expensive than most places, but you get what you pay for. I always leave feeling satisfied and full. Thier portion sizes are perfect as well as thier pairing of flavors!!!

Beautiful, welcoming space and excellent food. We had the Bahn Mi sandwich, Black Eyed Pea Burger on salad (probably my favorite bean patty I've ever had), curried potato salad, won ton soup, and the raw carrot cake and salted chocolate chip cookie for dessert. Every single thing was perfect! So fresh, yummy, healthy and satisfying. I wish I was local so I could visit frequently.

I had the southern chicken sandwich & blueberry cheesecake – absolutely fantastic. everything is made from scratch, which is readily apparent through the taste and quality of the food. i'm grateful there's a vegan option in town of this caliber... i can't wait to go back!

Some wonderful friends brought me here for lunch today. All I can say is WOW!!! I'm neither vegetarian nor vegan, but was pleasantly surprised with how delicious my samplings were (especially the cabbage/veggies with soy protein). The food was so good, I ordered some "to go" for my meat-loving husband at home...he loved it! Definitely a must when traveling to Louisville!

We love this place. Asked for gift cards to here for my birthday. Food that tastes great and is good for you.

Super friendly staff! Everyone was so nice and the food was just as amazing! We had such a hard time choosing a dessert, we were so full after we just ended up getting a chocolate chip cookie to split. I’ll definitely be back to try the rest!

Super duper good. Full flavor, nobody here is scared of seasoning food to bring out the depth of flavors. Wowzers, we will be back whenever we are in your neck of the woods.

100% vegan and 100% delicious! If there were a place like this in Lexington, we'd be there all the time. Entrees, sides, dessert were all great!
