We had a lovely dinner at The Bywater last week on the back patio. We enjoyed eating the gumbo, the fries, burger, special salad, and of course had to top it all off with the beignets! Yum! they did have almost TOO MUCH powdered sugar but then again who cares with melt in your mouth doughy fritters

We went on a Saturday night. The tables inside were full; reservation recommended. The tables outside had room though and we were sat right away. The heat lamps were warm enough! Used to be very popular and visited once before. Nowadays, even with outdoor seating, the place was not packed as before. Unfortunately, I thought the food quality also took a step backwards. The oysters were pretty good, fresh. But, the meats were quite dry, not as flavorful as before. Service

The food is decent and service is excellent. The daily special rib is one of the best rib I had in bay area.

Plates are taste, new a good flavors. Always ask for the special of the day. They are always good. Po boys are ok. But the resto do the plates are really tasty. They have patio for pets. The service is good

I'm sorry but what a joke of a restaurant. We sat down at 5.50 and at 6.02 they took our drink order. 12 minutes isn't great for an empty restaurant but we'll let that slide. Drinks didn't arrive until 6.32... we sat at an empty table with no bread no drinks no nothing for 42 minutes and the pla

Insanely good food! By far the best smoked pork I’ve ever had. All of their delicious sauces are made in-house as well. Staff was amazing and so helpful. Will definitely be back here

We had food poisoning from the oysters with projectile vomit. Additionally portion sizes and seasoning for gumbo and jambalaya were tiny and disappointing. As in ladle of spicy soup with three mussels and bowl of rice with sparse vegetables respectively tiny. Really disappointed with the whole exper
