Excellent ingredients, preparation, and flavors. The hummus was the best we have ever had. The tabouli salad was crisp, fresh and light. Will be back ASAP!

Not For Me. I drove more than 1 hour in search of Halal Food and I found Sofra, never heard of them but ready for a new experience. I walked in and the cook behind the counter starring at me and never blinked, he look like he want to beat me. I should have left at that point.
I ordered the meat & chicken dinner platter, the portions were so small for $42.00 I was expecting more. The side salad was old but I eat as not to waste the food. I barley eat the hummos, it had a different taste I did not like. I ordered food to go for a friend so this is opinion without my influence. I have shoban salad same as persian salad only not as good. They dont use lemon or oilvie oil, no salt and no feta. chicken kabob I thought was good but dry but really tasty. and falal sandwich was soaked wet by the time I received it. The pita had fallen apart. I think they must have closed it while still steaming hot and it steamed the sandwich apart. The falafal balls were good. .
Over all I don't believe we will be dining there again.
Does anyone know where there is good Halal Egyptian Restaurant in the Los Angeles area?

Authentic Turkish Experience. I went to Sofra Kebab Express with a friend of mine who is from Turkey. The food was delicious, and my native Turk friend thoroughly agreed! The dinner plates were quite large and very filling. I had never tried baklava until I went to Sofra, and I immediately fell in love!

The entire experience is very authentic, with hummus and pita bread served at the beginning of the meal, then dinner and our bakalva was brought out, then our tea and sugar cubes we ordered were brought out along with an ash tray for my Turkish friend to smoke a cigarette.

Unfortunately we didn't try the hookah, but others were smoking hookah while eating. The place is small, but VERY comfortable. Everyone there speaks Turkish and English. I felt like I was in a little Turkish bubble when I was there!

Definitely must try Sofra Kabab Express!
